Seeing as we have so little to go on lets try some hidden tricks.
Run a black light over everything (both letter and envelope). Also try to use color light filters or a dry heat to produce something as well.
Do you have any idea of why this was sent to you? maybe signed up for a something?

If you're the only one reporting getting it and you received something with your name in it, it may be tailor-made to some degree.

Personally, I think you need to start looking up your last name. Maybe telling us, too, if it's not too rare.

I was kind of hoping that the PMs would see this thread..see it being stalled...and provide some sort of hint.

been lurking around the boards for a wee bit - just thought i would chip something in here

imo it looks like a key that opens toilet roll holders we have here in the uk. You know , the type they have in public toilets.

I tend to agree with some of the others when they say that they are unsure if its a trailhead. I too had waited so long before chipping in to see if the pm might kick something under us or jump some more information in others directions. I just find it rather strange that only one trailhead package was sent out. I had also thought that others would have recieved it if it was indeed a trailhead.

I agree with greystone when he says try and get a blacklight to run over it. There appears to be something different over the top of the paper, might just be ink run or something but you never know.

Just gonna go back to lurking here for a wee bit to see if anything else comes of it or if anyone else gets some information

edit - to the OP , if you have a little bit of meta information ( i can understand you don't want to give it out) but if you could maybe contact the Pm or get in touch with the address you have for the pm? then it might help to give us something a little more solid than a key.

I also think it may well be something tailor made. They key itself doesn't really look all that secure, unless there's some level of 'hi tech' security embedded in the key material But the fact the letter mentioned you specifically makes me think no one else will get this same package. But it doesn't mean no one else will get anything related to whatever it's about... who knows.
You're in Maryland though? It is odd that something would be sent explicitly to you by name from Toronto. hm.

And no, I haven't received anything ARG-related for some time now :'( (I've been a little withdrawn for the past few months due to other responsibilities)

An hour-ish out, but yes. Toronto is my ARG home (since Kitchener's pretty much off the international radar for live events )

So I just received a letter from Canada again, no return address. Inside was a sealed manila envelope with the word "Destroy" on the front and "Confidential" on the back with the same "Department of Agricultural Scientific Affairs" seal on it. Inside, were two rag paper pages with handwritten writing, clearly ripped from an old journal. They read (as best as I can make out)

Ill see what I can do, but I really don't think that will help. The pages look like an artifact, torn from a journal and 'hidden' in the sealed envelope marked 'destroy'. The fiction doesn't suggest that these are anything other than what they appear to be. My wife and I both examined them carefully, and there is nothing we could find to indicate that there was any more information hidden on the paper or envelope.

My guess? I will receive more information that will eventually open up a lean the the aforementioned web site.
