 Noah Boddy Guide

If the game stays this easy then I can keep up with this. Let me know if there are any problems or errors. http://www.unfiction.com/~tienle/nb/nbguide.html

I haven't included Celina's character guide yet, just the Scarlett 'solve'.

Hey Tien, nice work, but I'd hold off as Vision for the final solve to Scarlett...it may be, but then again, it may not.

They way I see it, we have 24 weeks of the game and this is week #1 (or 2 depending on how you look at it) ...It's reasonable to assume that if we are to get a clue a week (sometimes two), that Scarlett is NOT done, we just have the first clue of maybe 3 or 4 for each color of the clue game arrived at by dividing the number of clues/weeks by the color of the Clue character's (6)...that works out to 4 clues/weeks per color on average...

If this is the case, Scarlett should have 3 more weeks (I'm guessing) for that part of the puzzle.

John

P.S.-And where I actually didn't come up with Vision first, I was the first (for a change I might add) to come up with the complete clue of "New Clear Vision" for "Nuclear Fission" ...no Ego here or anything like that, I was just damn proud that I was the first to actually get one of these things for a change!!!

I interpret the rules even more differently in regards to Scarlett. To me, that first pawn just marks that we are only in the first 1/6th of the game. The rules do not say that we will solve 6 units in sequence as we go. There are no chapters, only "six (6) complete Game puzzles (the "Final Solutions")", which we cannot solve until all 25 Number Clues plus the Final Number Clue are all released.

a) There are a total of 25 Number Clues.
b) Each week, there will be Hints leading to one Number Clue.
c) a Final Clue will be added after all Number Clues have been posted.
d) After the Number Clues are completed and the Final Clue is disclosed, contestants will be equipped with the information necessary to complete the Final Solutions.

So, while we might call our first Final Solution puzzle "Scarlett", I wouldn't spend much effort trying to solve it before the 25 weeks are over. It's just like "Push, Nevada" -- we might speculate about the *method* of deriving the solution(s) from 26 Number Clues, but we will not have the exact answer until the Final Clue is released.

Thanks, John. I'm open to there being more clues for Scarlett. And yes, sorry for the oversight...I'll fix that.

object of the game, speculation and observation

hey tien, thanks for organizing all that info!

you say "Noah Boddy is a game to discover the identity (and whereabouts?) of Noah Boddy"

but I think thea/NB/PM's have said that the object is to discover who noah_boddy is 'inside of the game' and that the real noah_boddy will emerge from 'behind the curtain' at some point.

perhaps in this game NB will be one of the characters (possibly one of the dead characters) from the journals.

btw, celina63, great job on those character sumations!

it also occurs to me that we have 26 clues and 26 letters of the alphabet, but i am sure that has occured to others and it probably has been stated before.

just some of my thoughts.

Thanks, Rex. You're right...I haven't read the rules all that closely. I guess 'discover the identity' is sort of a an all-inclusive statement about the object of the game. Ultimately, we are supposed to guess who Noah Boddy is. I didn't remember that they'd made a distinction between the 'in-game' NB and the 'real world' NB.

Can we make this topic "Sticky" so it doesn't get buried?

Thanks!
