This video had the best teleporting effects I've seen yet. Especially the first person parts, where the seam between the room and the boardwalk is practically invisible. I know where *I* would put it, but I can't see any evidence that it's there. Very impressive.

The transition from day to night using the car door was also very good. They appear to be genuine day and night shots, but there's no hint of jumping in the camera's motion. That's super difficult to do handheld.

And the book standing up was a great use of a very simple practical effect Very Happy

Even though it hardly ever updates, and its pace has slowed to the point where I don't expect the next video for another year and a half, TT continues to be the series with the best and most original FX

Okay, I have a couple thoughts. First off, we should've seen this -by which I means Noah's seemingly inexplicable lack of action or doing the wrong thing- coming. In the previous video from Firebrand, he comments on Noah learning the hard way, and how he (Firebrand) shouldn't have been surprised because he did the same thing and remember, firebrand is future!Noah.

Now, since that video is called "deathtrapexodus" (Death trap exodus, do you see?), I'm going to guess Firebrand rescues Noah- or leads him out.

Now, as for why Observer doesn't have all his crazy shadow zone rotoscoping effects here, I'm going to guess it's because he doesn't feel the need to hide his vessel's identity anymore; it's been confirmed he's Kevin. If the events of "The Livestream Incident" weren't proof enough, in deathtrapexodus Firebrand actually refers to him as 'Kevin' rather than 'Observer', warning Noah that opening Milo's journal would bring him back in.

Both good points. I think it's possible that the Observer isn't hiding his identity any longer, but I didn't think it was something they could control. I could buy that explanation, though.

Maybe it's a case in which Kevin had some control?

Wait... hang on a second.

Firebrand has always been shown as his shadow-person self, right? Then in the video that Noah opens the briefcase and finds the money (Extraordinary Circumstances), he shows up and looks just like normal Noah at the end. That was the only time he's seen AFTER he was freed from the Collective.

Maybe the Observer was freed, escaped, or kicked out of the Collective too, and the notebook has the secrets he needs to get back in? Maybe that's what Milo wrote down! He figured out how to get into the Collective, but had a change of heart? Or maybe his suicide was the way he joined, or was just a way to prevent Mr. Scars from having a fully-functional vessel?

That... has implications.

I agree. Adam really puts the work into each video, and it shows. Sitting down and watching the videos back to back is seriously impressive, and I have the tendency to forget just how meticulous he is during the long downtime.

Agreed, the FX in this video were amazing. But i kinda overlooked it when i saw what happened in said video

Good thing Noah somehow got the diary back and we don't have to sit through more of his "I'm so fucked" monologues

I enjoyed the bits of dark humour in this episode. Good stuff.

This guy's videos are allways so well put up together.

In other news, i wonder if Firebrand ever interacted with Kevin in any way, because if there is something that i don't understand is that The Observer is Kevin in the future, does that mean Kevin is already dead or still alive?

Thank you!

A little late to be saying but DEATHTRAPEXODUS is a true art form for the Slenderman mythos! Absolutely beautiful and something only the very talented can do. It's creepy, visually beautiful, and unique. So thank you Tribetwelve!

I love how TT morbidly pokes fun at the situation, I know all slendervlogs do this. But I love how Adam in particular comments on his predicament with The Collective. It may not be my favourite vlog, but God does it have the best sense of humour.

Severance

Thinking Severance is key here. Literally. Maybe he could just draw the symbol on whatever he uses to break the lock? I mean, I think this whole chapter is gonna end with Noah stabbing Kevin with a "severanced" knife. After all, Habit said all that time ago that if you stab the symbol into someone, the entity inside will lose control.

Perhaps Noah will share the info with Vinnie and he'll stab Evan?

On another note, what would happen if the symbol were to enter Slendy? Would it create some crazy paradox? What if Noah stabbed his Firebranded self? Would there just be two Noahs?

If Noah used the symbol on Slendy...that would be a VERY bad idea, think about it. Slendy is the only thing keeping the collective in check, if he is cut off from them, they would all become like Firebrand, unpredictable. And considering the questionable sanity of the observer, that would NOT be good.

The only reason Firebrand is the way he is is because he found a form of severance from The Collective. Given that Slenderman "has his hands" on Noah as does The Observer, using the symbol actually sounds like a great idea.
