I think Jeff's appearance was similar to Dr. Corenthal's in that earlier EMH video. He's supposed to be dead but he appears as a weird spirit thing in some otherfuck dimension. Corenthal referred to his place as a "sanctuary within the monster's sanctum" which makes sense. Habit calls it "My house" after all, so obviously weird ass ghost land is owned by Habit but with some Corenthal shit there too.

Firebrand sent Noah there for some reason, as its evident from the texts. He wanted him to get there "before [them]" but its unclear what the means. I've decided to dissect the character's various motives.

- Firebrand is a rogue collective member. He's Noah in the future. He wants Noah to take Habit's advice so he can exist.

- Habit wants Noah to use a knife to free himself from the Collective so Firebrand can happens.

- Jeff's ghost wants none of that.

- Noah has no fucking clue.

There's clearly something bad that's gonna happen in the future. Noah is "not gonna be the hero in this" and its necessary, for his non-heroic acts to happen, that he free himself from Slender Man, oddly enough. Firebrand either seems to not know about the terrible way this is all going down, or wants it to go down that way. Habit does too, which doesn't make it all particularly more trustworthy.

All the sides in this are completely skewed. Habit and Slender Man are allied, no matter what anyone happens to say, but wanting Firebrand free doesn't seem to help Slender Man. So there must be another variable involved. And for something apparently hurting Slender Man, Jeff's ghost seems to know it's bad news. Firebrand is supposedly against Slender Man, but is on Habit's side, at least vaguely. And Jeff says he shouldn't listen to them.

All of this is weird. Personally if I was Noah I'd kill myself, fuck completing some dumb casual loop that Josef Mengele's demon possessor wants me to do but Jeff's ghost is totally against. Seriously, when has any hero involved in a casual loop, whose told to kill themselves to avoid it, not had some kind of totally huge regret?

Also pretty good video I liked it.

^^ All of this. Except your personal conclusion actually. Strangely I find myself really wanting Noah to keep going through with this. There's no hope for a "normal" life anymore. Might as well become a badass demigod.

You know, in one of the 'hidden' videos (the ones everyone except the EMH guys could see) Jeff did kill himself, or try to; he downed a whole bottle of pills. Milo killed himself by cutting his own throat -and was brought back to become Mr. Scars. He tried it again on-camera by taking a box cutter to his wrists, to no avail. I don't think Noah killing himself is good plan. Best case scenario: nothing happens. He lives -or is brought back- and goes mad from the knowledge that even death can't save him. Worst case scenario: he plays right into the Collective's hands. Think about it: Milo dies, becomes Mr. Scars. Mary Asher dies, becomes Cursor. The flaw in this is Kevin/The Observer (obviously Kevin didn't die first), but why take the risk?

Basically, suicide in the TT/EMH 'verse is a really bad idea, is what I'm saying.

Wouldn't dying change Noah into Firebrand? I think that is what the person above me was implying. We don't really know if Kevin has died, or if he will die in the future.

What if this whole severance plan backfires and Noah stabs Kevin turning him into the observer?

I notice a few people haven't caught up in EMH yet, so... ***SPOILERS FOR EMH'S "THE PROPERTY" VIDEO ARE AHEAD.***

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I'm pretty sure this is the "monsters' sanctuary" with the "Inner Sanctum" that Corenthal took Vince to before he shot Slendy in the not-face with his Ghost Busters Gun. For a reminder:

"This place, this is like an inner sanctum to the monsters' sanctuary. These monsters? These things? They can get in. They've gotten in before. I've kicked'em out. It's hard to go and it takes a lot but I've kicked'em out. This time I know they'll be coming full force, cause they're after you, son. They want you, so you're not going to be able to stay here very long. This is very, very temporary for you. So when you start feeling a little bit better I'm going to have to get you out of here. And don't worry, your sister, your brother, and me? We'll hold down the fort."

I know there were theories that this could have been HABIT disguised as Corenthal, but even then, it still works. (I personally don't believe that theory because, if it's true, there's NO HOPE for Vince. He's pretty much dead.)

But yeah. So we know where Noah and Jeff most likely were, but not much else.

I feel fortunate to be following both series now, because I get a little bit of progression from both sides.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
JEFF BEING ALIVE IS A HUGE DEAL, OH MY GOD.

Though I'm starting to get more and more excited about the Collective's storyline as more stuff starts to come to light. While we have a sort-of clear idea as to who MOST of the Collective members are/were before death, I want to see more of how they became to be, like Milo and Mary.

It should go without saying that I'm interested to see how Noah will die, when he eventually becomes Firebrand.

Also, loose theory:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Is it possible that Jeff is a member of the Collective? Him being dead and contacting Noah just gave me the idea. I have no evidence or whatever, I just thought it'd be neat.

I need a new Observer/Firebrand video soon.

Theory
About the guy in the bathroom

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just wanted to point out that the guy who was in the bathroom in Severance might actually be Noah from the future.

In Deus Ex Machina, Noah in one scene had a knife in his right hand and seemingly stabbed the cameraman. In Severance, the guy in the bathroom was bleeding from his left side. The side that the cameraman in Deus Ex Machina was stabbed.

Also, the anonymous figure had the same hair style and color and I assume he is wearing the same shirt from the Thankgiving videos.
I also noticed that he was wearing a bracelet that looks similar to the one Noah wore on his right hand wrist.

Though, the stranger was wearing it on his left hand wrist but that might just be a derp.

Thanks for pointing that out. Most people assume its Lee or Michael because they're pretty desperate for a crossover.

The more I think about that...the more confusing it gets. So was Noah trying to sever himself from...what? The Observer's possession? Or from Firebrand (I have no idea how that works. I'm just throwing that out there because I know some will exploit the crap out of it)?

Maybe this stabbed-Noah is AFTER he'd been captured the Collective, and broken free, so Noah stabbed himself wait....

Didn't HABIT severe Firebrand?

THIS DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE

I believe that when Firebrand says that Habit freed him from the administrator, that it isn't meant to be taken literally. Yes, Noah will have to stab himself in order for Firebrand to be free, but Habit had to tell him to do that. Remember that Firebrand is probably omnipotent, and anything that happens now will affect him always, if that makes sense. It just has to not fail to happen in Noah's timeline. So for Firebrand it happened after Habit, who we can also assume is omnipotent decided to help him out by telling Noah what to do. But for Noah, it has to happen in order for Firebrand to continue the way he is.

Or maybe I am just as confused as you are. Timeline shit is confusing.

Come to think of it, Noah's life is like a darker version of Regular Show. He's really just a college guy that got caught up with some weird personalities and some strange things.

Does anyone here work on the TT Wiki? We've been dealing with an idiot on the EMH Wiki and I'd like to compare notes... he claims to have hit you guys as well.

A long time ago I was attacked by a troll, and his last words were "THIS IS NOT THE END OF ME KNIFEBLADE". Holy crap, he might be coming back...for revenge...

Then again, is it a gamejacking troll or a troll just writing dumb things?
