Should JAY summon MASKY? Definitely not copying EMH here <___< I know this seems like torture against TIM. But I've been reading around that perhaps when TIM is in his other personality (masky), he may know things in that state that he wouldn't have known otherwise. So perhaps in the future when JAY is fine (unless he'll stay operated til the end), he can restrain TIM and try to summon masky for an interrogation of some sort.
Picturing that situation makes me all giddy

I don't see why Jay would want to seeing as every time he encounters Masky he tries to rape him.

Yeah but tie down tim first, then summon masky.

It would probably work, but I still see too problems.
1. Even if Jay tied Tim down and deprived him of pills, there would probably still need to be something that triggers Masky to take over (Slender attack?) so they could be waiting a long time
2. We have never seen Tim talk or communicate in any way when he is in his Masky state, I always assumed he couldn't.

Yes but we've never seen Tim's facial expressions under his Masky state. Who knows if he's capable of emotion when he's like that. That's why an entry like that WOULD be cool and informative...although I doubt it'll happen

Actually now that you mention it seeing Tim's expression during Masky state would be super interesting.

Pretty sure you can see it in the entry where Tim and Masky beat up Alex in the hospital during the day

That's one thing that bothered me: Jay and Tim never talked about it on film. At all.
Jay's really in no state physically or mentally to try something this dangerous, though. Disregard the fact Tim would probably leave Jay out to dry and run away instead of volunteer for it. Jay right now couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag, let alone physically subdue Tim and restrain him long enough for the meds to wear off.

I think if Jay and Tim talked over the pros and cons, Tim might be willing to let Jay do it.

I really want this to happen. It'd certainly be worth a shot, right? The biggest problem I can see with it that we think we know how to get Masky to come out and play, but how do you get him to go away again? Could end up with Tim stuck in that state for a while.
However, I still think trying to interrogate Masky could be worth doing. I still think he's probably the only character who knows where Jessica is, if she even still matters, considering he was in her room right before she vanished. I'd presume he either tried to help her escape TO and failed, or managed to send her away somewhere. But lets not get into that in this thread.

It'd be impossible to take a talking Masky seriously. Any form of directly communicating Masky wouldn't be easy to take seriously, actually. The only way it could work would be if Masky escaped and left behind a tape or something.

I doubt Masky would do any talking. He would probably find himself restrained and just go berserk.
The main reason I think this would be a mistake is because it is at least possible that summoning Masky might directly or indirectly cause The Operator to appear. If Tim is tied down and TO appears, he's gonna get mega raped - Masky state or not. If he's speaking he will probably insist that Jay flee, resulting in a repeat of the 64/65 scenario. If he isn't talking (being all Maskyish) then Jay will probably still have no choice but to flee and leave Tim for The Op basically gift wrapped with a bow on his head... He may never regain his sane personality if left in such a situation. If he's sane Tim, it would be a sad scene to see him completely screwed... I don't think Jay would be able to resist TO long enough to untie Tim and then escape, especially because he's still weak from 72. And its not like TO rings the doorbell when he shows up, he'd probably just quite suddenly appear RIGHT on top of them. Finally, if Tim is in Masky mode, then I don't think Jay could risk untying him anyway, since the whole point of restraining him in the first place was that Masky has a habit of fighting Jay any time they encounter one another. Masky might just feed Jay to The Op if released.

I think I agree with this the most. I dont even think a proxie is capable of verbal communication, let alone his reluctance of relinquishing any secrets.
If Jay decided to beat it out of Tim, we are talking about torturing your friend, and that's heavy stuff.
Tim wouldn't agree to just going under and becoming Masky, those are dark places that he doesn't want to go.

At this point I don't think we're ever going to see masky again, Tim's pills are keeping his masky state at bay. As for jay, he's going to have his own masky state if he doesn't get better soon. I just hope the "hoody is jay from the future" therory isn't right

The first time he's encountered, Jay tries to remove his mask to see who he is, and we can hear a muffled "NO!"
