Before this turns into a philosophical debate and Zargg has to real us in, what happens if the answer to "Is this real?" is "no"? What then?

Then I win! Mr. Green

Also, I understand the Operator might be trying to look human, but can't fully adapt to our environment for reasons unknown. But if that were the case, he'd want to adapt in an urban environment where people wear suits and ties-- not in the forest, where people often go hiking in outdoorsy apparel. That's why it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Well up until about the 50's everybody wore a suit as 'casual' attire as there was not as much range of clothes. It also made you look richer as you could afford a suit.

Not when they were dredging through the woods, they weren't. They probably wore overalls and boots and flannel shirts.

I meant in-game, idiots. What if they're all seeing things differently in their heads, but when they discuss things with each other, it adds up because of some sort of bizarre trick the Operator is playing? Like, what if what we hear them saying to each other isn't what they're actually thinking their saying at all?

If that were the case in-game, it'd take out a lot of the immersion. In-game, the audience is supposed to be the exact same, with the only difference being that there's no evidence of MH being fake. I'm not sure how one would go about believing they could be an in-game viewer of the entries while seeing TO in the exact same form as everyone else, if your theory was true.

The Operator doesn't restrict itself to the woods. It stalked Alex everywhere, including right outside his house. The suit is probably just a generic choice for trying to fit in with humans.

Right, except most times where is the Operator? In the woods, or in a field, or in a desolate, rural area where no one wearing a business suit and tie would be.

Regarding Jay and Tim not talking about TO, there might be a couple explanations:

1. They HAVE compared notes about TO off-camera, but don't want to tip their hand (since Alex seems to be watching the entries, and they might have come up with some sort of advantage). Tm DID say, "No more secrets," and it seems like they reviewed the earlier entries (especially as they returned to college town), so perhaps Tim has shared his memories, as well. THAT would make a gret entry, though it might not be very action-packed.
2. They want to deal with Alex first. Notice that they don't talk about Hoody, either. They might be dealing with the threat they know the most about first. Also, once they capture Alex, they can hopefully get him to spill everything he knows about Hoody and TO, then deal with each of them in turn.

It'd be very difficult, I mean hoody had him at gunpoint but then the Operator appeared. They'd be better off trying to catch hoody since he at least doesn't have the operator as a body guard

Hey, I am a tad bit new, and I kinda skimmed over what I could, forty something pages is alot to sit through so do forgive me.

Has anyone considered that the newish Operator isn't the Operator? Due to the facial features and where it appeared (Alex's old house/apartment) that the 'Operator' featured in entry 72 is Alex himself? According to Jay's twitter he had a dream where Alex was undergoing a change and screaming at him. Some of the frames do show two operators standing side by side (Though it may be a glitch or feedback.)

Maybe Alex was ment to be more than a proxy, maybe a host of sorts?

The eyes you see are simply due to capturing the video in HD. In season 1 you couldn't see it. They confirmed that at one point the HD picked up on facial features like that.

There is absolutely no reason to think there's a second operator.

I personally like it. He still lacks facial features, but his head isn't a smooth egg. He doesn't have eyes, but he still has a place for them. It's a little creepy.

I like this idea, and will support it from here on out.

It's certainly not the worst theory I've heard on this board. [coughSarahishoody[/cough]

Thank you. I was loosing hope their for a little bit. I wish I could say I have been lurking since the beginning. But I just learned of Marble Hornets since January, and this forum a few days ago. I do think I can bring a few new theory's to the table, since it is a new set of eyes and all. I was planning to start a new forum just for the compilation of my theory's. Being new and all I don't know how many would be rehashed or not.

But I do thank you for your vote of confidence. I was kinda scared to put it out there.

We were all new once. Here's some advice, just post your theory in the season discussion thread. You might catch some flak about making a new thread.
