irc channel

I don't suppose anyone can let me know how to access the #syzygy irc channel through an irc app could they?

Sorry, I usually connect through EFNET or some such, but this channel doesn't seem to be there?

I think we've run out of direction at the moment, unless anyone can make sense of the ProjctSyzygy website...the pictures, the fonts, and the random 's' on the second page.
The sound file seems to be a red herring, but I may be wrong.

Other than that, the only 'new' stuff seems to be the emails that Fi has been receiving...but we don't know what they contain until she tells us!

(Unless it's stuff about her job application)

direction?

so when Dan mentioned direction (or lack of), has this been solved?

The S is intriguing but I can't help but look of it as a graphical error. But then, if it was they would have removed it once we had opened it, wouldn't they?

And who is FI? and what are her emails? Smile

Gil: I read your Ice Bridge game site. Very glad to have you here. I think you've found the right audience for your ideas this time. Smile

PS I love this quote from your IceBridge site:

you need to connect to irc.chat-solutions.org
from memory www.unfiction.com/chat/ should be an applet configured to chat-solutions

To be honest not much is happening in #syzygy but drop by anyway

Thanks, Rose. I've just re-read it myself. It would be totally unremarkable were it written today, but nearly five years ago, it seemed rather new and exciting.

One thing I have done in the meantime is to build a Java-based engine that can deliver Myst-like games over the Web to a browser. I've done a test application for it, but I'll do something better before I publicise it.

Hi,

I've not been receiving e-mailS as such, but only the odd one connected to my job application to them.
I am afraid I cannot say any more than that, apart from the fact that I am waiting with nervous anticipation!!!

#syzygy is not particularly active ATM, DanHon summed it up yesterday when he said that the next 12 hours of activity in the channel could be summed up by:

X has joined #syzygy
X has left #syzygy !!!

Dan did imply that there are some pre-game puzzles in the pipe line, but apart from that, who knows!?!!

Fi

Sounds promising Fi, more than I've had from them! Good luck!

I guess we're now waiting for the PMs to unleash more on us then?

Incidentally, neither www.perplex-city.com nor www.perplexcity.net are 404 atm (they used to be for a while now), but there is nothing there anyway. The the other pages look the same - 404 or 403.

There is this (very detailed and thorough) and this (sort of quick and general)

I think it just meant that^, though it hasn't really been determined how the original one meant that (but I guess that's a non-issue anymore)

Mysterious letter

Was drinking q bottle of some wine the other dqy... The S or P on the syzygy pqge looked a lot like this thing emlqzoned on the wine bottle. This would qll be very much irrelevqnt if the vineyqrd hqdn't been bqsed somewhere in Qustrqliq.
