makes sense to me...

Is the question:
Quote:
What is aibohphobia?

...a dead end? A quick google search turned out the definition as an irrational fear of palindromes. Is it a total red herring?

Er, not sure if this means anything but here goes.

Did a google search on 'ygyzys' which revealed a handful of links. A couple were from a defucnt gaming algorhythm website. One was a document which spewed looks like this:

*warning* It's a long document Wink

"Ho, ho, ho," Ahab laughs loud and strong, "Errr, be it Boy on a Dolphin? A lonely lad a-lookin fer a Lorelei! Ha, ha!" Crusty old Captain steadies small scope to focus on beach:
"Arrrrrrr, yes, arrr--
"I see there by my crossed hair … standing naked on the shore --but now, runnin' bare ass up yonder dune!" Ahab squints at Nemo. Points his tube back to dune. "See: 'tis our muddled first mate --The Reader!"
Nemo grabs tube from Ahab. Stares into shaking spyglass. Wildly waves his turban, "Reader! –Hey! Reader! Y'r sea brain be boilin, babe! Magnetite compass a-spinnin, kid! Been penned-up in Waldon-23 all y'r born days, ain't ye? Time t' come clean, pal. Ya gotta wash that mind right outta yo life!"
"Lop a little lobe!"
"Ha, ha. Mind now. Mind, Reader."
Ahab moves to his stool. A tortoise-shell saddle on three narwhal tusks. He sits. Puffs his white clay longstem greyblue smoke curls toward shore. "Arrrrr...." Ahab winks.
Quick his tattooed hand dives into gunnysack, pulls forth a silver banjo!
Crew gathering close for a coming turn. Old captain taps the tip of his ivory peg for rhythym upon deck - - - begins to strum slow circles in the air. Around and around his tattoo goes. Then his fingers brush the banjo. Four stainless steel silver strings rain clear clean sparkle sounds across the sea.
And in time, Ahab sings out the opening verse to-- The Ballad of Davie Jones' Locker.

Whoops - there's a lot more at the top of the document.

Edit: Placed it in a text file to prevent near infinite scrolling - Wishi-san

Finally, I wanted to find out what pareidolia meant.

Quote:
pareidolia (payr.eye.DOH.lee.uh) n. The erroneous or fanciful perception of a pattern or meaning in something that is actually ambiguous or random.
—pareidolic adj.

Apologies if my last few posts amount to absolutely nothing...

Although that room322.com is very interesting - and by that, I mean weird - I don't think there's any connection to the game. That site certainly looks like it could be ARG-related (and it was only registered in April) but I'm leaning towards it not being.

As the whole thing is named Project Syzygy I suspect we won't find out about it through a site with this name. I may be wrong, but I'm hoping we'll be a little more surprised than by googling the title Smile

So are there any trees left to bark up or is it a case of waiting for an email in 2005?

Seems odd to me that the PMs would go to such trouble with a high profile ad campaign only to let the project lie dormant for another 4 months at least...

I'm not sure "dormant" is a word I'd use Wink They're probably scurrying around, working their little backsides off!

As for all the trees, yes I think we have barked up all of them. I could well be wrong, but I'm inclined to think that if we missed anything major then Dan or Adrian would have pushed us towards them by now.

New here, first post. I've been a lurker for some time though. I never got to catch the beginning of any ARGs so never really got into playing them, just reading about them so I'm really happy to be invovled in this.

Too bad I'm too slow though... WAY too slow. A little back story:

I was browsing the TINP forums one day and found a link to the Project site. Being a TINP addict I immediatly scoured the source for hot info. Behold! Info! Of course, I did all this a few days ago while you people did all this... months ago? Either way, I hope to beat a few of you once PS has launched, not that I'm competitive, but you know.

On a side note, speaking of 'barking up trees', I've been seeing a lot of 'Not seeing the Forest for the Trees' references on not only unfictions forums but also TINPs forums. Not that this has anything to do with the Project, just thought it was interesting.

No winner! Just the warm fuzzy feeling knowing that you are the first person to ascertain such information. And yeh, I'm covering my ass. Cool

I'm in. Just read the 19 pgs of info.

Background info:

I saw The Beast through to its completion.

The absolute most scary part was the AI girl in the teahouse... I only gave that one a couple tries and then let the rest of the #evanchan IRC'ers take care of the puzzle.

For those who have trouble remembering the Beast's tearoom puzzle:

eyes - red

fly - head

Welp, as a Beastie boy, you have just earned my respect a lot more. I was more under the assumption that you were a complete Halo fanboy type, desperately trying to connect every single ILB event into the Haloverse.

this one should be a most interesting can of worms. Welcome, and the fun begins...soon....
