Newbie here

Hey guys!

I've been reading through these posts trying to get a feel for the game. This sounds really cool. I played Majestic back when it started. I was really sad to see it crash and burn. I thought, "I wish there was something else like this out there." Alas, there is. I look forward to solving some of these puzzles with you guys.

'Til later,
Brian

Hi all, I'm still catching up to the present gamestate. Just wanted to fill Alex in. A capital S represents the entropy of a system in thermodynamics, also the shorthand for Sulpher.

Ditto on the "really cool." Although I didn't hit Majestic until about three week before it fizzled. Confused I am excited to at least be (sort of) on the ground floor of this one! Count me in. .. and don't hate me if I ask dumb questions... I am a newbie after all Laughing

Firebox

Just thought I would stick my two-penneth in!

Since I spotted the web site on the Firebox hand out last Friday I have done a bit of reading arround the packground of Perplex City.

One of the first puzzles mentioned at the biginning of the information was in Braille. This was decoded to read "I can see you".

One of the items listed for sale on the web site but not in the catalogue is a braille t-shirt. This is only available in one version with the message reading - "I can see you". It's also a 'UK Exclusive'

Coinsidance?...

There is only one possible response to this - we must make a cafepress shirt with the design below:

I almost went to translate that until my ARG skills took over and I just right clicked Wink

Having to miss the end of AWARE thanks to my forced hiatus from the 'net, and seeing as how ILB is too far ahead for me, I'm definitely ready to jump on the bandwagon here.

¡El diablo santo está aquí! Very Happy

Also unrelated, but a pretty picture of syzygy

Nervous about posting this; I've read the guidelines and searched the threads for eBay and/or Stamps, and didn't find anything about this, so. . .

There's an item for sale in an eBay store-

CHINA STAMPS --- 1778 MNH --- Syzygy of the Planets

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3487&item=5515895229&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

Obviously not part of the game, but it's a pretty representation of Syzygy, and it might not be a bad idea to know what Syzygy actually looks like. . .right? Me too, right guys? Hey, wait up!

Good for joining in, however (and currently I'm at work, so I can't look it up) but this has indeed been mentioned before. It's a good example of syzygy, but it's at least 99.99% OOG. But keep up the work, and we'll see ya around! (This is gonna be a good one.)

[SIDE NOTE]Poor Adrian, everyone expects his team to come up with the best thing since sliced bread. I'm sure this is gonna be great, but y'all better not kill the man if it turns out to be just "great", and not "superfreakinawesome"! Laughing

Oh, and one other side point: No I'm not dead. I've been lurking like crazy, cuz I'm waiting for a baby (due last friday), we have a new house (about a month and a half old, so we're still unpacking), I have a new job (less slacker time), and we have no internet at home (my computer refuses dial-up, and I don't have the guts to pay cash for cable when I've got a baby coming).... so, I'm all up-ins, but I'm keepin it on the DL... Rolling Eyes So, I'm here. I've pretty much given up on understanding the ILB saga after the first "live" contacts, cuz that's when things got crazy, and I'm totally stoked for Syzygy, and I think I'm going to focus on that and hang back until I'm right and useful. Hope all are doing well, and I'll end this tirade.... now.

Pony?! (This message has been approved by a pixelated horse's head.)

That's not a horse, it's a pony!

And I'm sure we're all way overhyping the game so I hope the Hons are working doubly hard, that's what you get if you promise the be(a)st!

Oh, and as a Syzygy mod, I felt it my duty to get this.

Also, congratulations on the soon to be baby Dorkmaster Smile
