Perhaps simply replacing the capital A and C in the anagram with Asimov and Child, respectively, instead of rearranging the letters into that. That leaves us with more letters to work with. Just a suggestion~

Also hello unfiction did you miss me

EDIT: Alternatively, maybe Child isn't what we're looking for, either? Sure, it fits, but that doesn't mean it works. The first clue, "A is for the name of the man responsible..." and its solution, "Asimov," is harder to come to than "C is for Child" and "Child" being the answer.
