It isn't a new thing, the whole "if you don't like it, don't watch it" crap. I prefer no negativity in my creations either, but that doesn't mean that criticism won't come my way, or that I shouldn't take it into consideration for future reference.

In a similar case, since you want to push the point across, I say to you this: "If you don't like his comment so much, why reply to it?"

I personally think the series is pretty decent. Good, even. But that's my two cents.
