 		Yeah, season 1 is great the way it is. And we can't really assume something that happened in an earlier season is no longer canon unless the creators specifically say so.

480p loads faster. I get my entertainment faster. I'll wait for a DVD or Blu-Ray release if I want 1080p.

 		I agree that the early entries really ruin the series when you are judging the entire thing, but they will never redo them (nor do i think they should). Some of the stuff in s1 is clearly (to me) not canon, so just use your imagination

It's canon by virtue of the fact that it takes place in the narrative.
