Hard to beat the original memories of finding the first season back when the creators were mysterious and unknown. Watching entries with my finger on the volume control just in case. Entry #22 was terrifying back when distortion actually scared me and wasn't just a rockin' dubstep soundtrack.
Introducing other people to it back then was great, too. Everyone's interest evaporated when season 2 started, but before that everyone thought it was as excellent as I did. My friend threw his headphones off his head watching Entry #19. These are some great memories from an otherwise kinda shitty part of my life.

Nothing will ever be as scary as watching the first thirty episodes in one night for the first time. I think as a good-bye present to Marble Hornets someone needs to make a montage of the best and most iconic moments.

I remember I started watching and I was talking in irc about it. The random distortion in Entry 3 or whenever at the gazebo took me off guard and probably caught the attention of everyone in the house.
Then I was pretty excited about Jay breaking into someone's house at night, and even more excited when he got charged on his second trip.
Entry ###### and enttry 37 still stand out as strong "oh shit" moments too.
Oh, and unmasking Tim actually made me say "Tim? What-" at the screen. Videos don't usually make me do that, it was a good time

It says something that I can feel nostalgic about the entire series even though it's still ongoing.

I for one LOVED Entry #37. I don't know what was so great about it, but to this day, it's my favorite MH entry.
Oh yeah, and we can't forget the moment when we found out Masky was Tim.

I will never forget that time when I first discovered MH, and thought that it might be real. I miss that time, and almost wish I hadn't discovered all of the OOG stuff.

I totally agree. I only have to hear the first few notes of the tune at the start to get nightmares. And that fucking happy birthday scarred me for life. The other entries are good, but #37 is the only one that has really scared me shitless.

Yeah, I'm not a superstitious man myself, but I'm not exactly a skeptic either. Marble Hornets had me wondering for a night or two. That was before Tim put on the mask, of course, when it was still purely found footage.
My favorite moment was the night of the Spongebob sighting, and the Windmill Diaries video that surfaced that night or the night after, mostly just 'cause it gave us a lot of shit to shoot around here.

Spongebob sight? Windmill Diaries? Care to elaborate?

In enttry #37, Troy made a mistake by showing a kid at the birthday party with a Spongebob shirt, although Spongebob was released AFTER when the video took place. As of now, it's the only goof that has been found in the series, and Troy fixed it in an upload soon after. As for the Windmill Diaries, I believe (I just googled it, so this may be a little off), it was a gamejack that a lot of people thought was real.

Ok, so the spongebob thing I was here for. Interested in the other one.
As for the topic at hand, the starting up of Season 2 was pretty good. I had been waiting for about 6 months after finding and marathoning Marble Hornets, had signed up for a twitter account sometime during that, when a surprise tweet from Jay came. That got me excited, learning that it was still going.
