Finally, year 11 French has a purpose. "Tu aime." Whilst it could be "vous aime" because she is a friend "tu aime" is more appropriate.

Nope.

Hi Lucy. There's the 'I Love You Caffe' on 7 Rue Godot de Mauroy. That's a small street in the swanky 9th District, close to many hotels and the Palais Garnier (Opera House). If you're not an opera fan that cafe is just a stone's throw from 'La Maison du Chocolat', Please visit there whatever your cafe is & have a wonderful time.

We were thinking too deeply into it. Razz

Apparently that's not the right cafe.

Thanks everyone! I'm at the airport right now and I text her back with the name of the cafe Amandel suggested. She texted back, "Nope, think of the Greeks. See you tomorrow at 11:00."

Someone suggested Les Délices d'Aphrodite which also didnt seem to be it.

Thanks Natasuf! I texted her back and she said, "Not yet, but close. You're such a bibliophile, I know you'll figure it out."

I suggested the cafe L'Hermes. Hermes is (basically) the Greek God of Literature among other things. As she said that you have to

and that Lucyle is a

that was my best guess.

Haven't got a response yet.

We got the cafe! She had gotten the text

It's the original philosopher's cafe.

Did a little digging and found information about Café des Phares where philosopher Marc Sautet began a movement of "Socrates Cafes" where people could gather and discuss philosophy and other events.

For completeness, new post

Waiting and a Note

My flight to Paris leaves soon and will arrive at 9:00 in the morning Paris time, giving me two hours to check into my hotel and get to Cafe des Phares. UGH. Any suggestions for how to deal with jet lag? I don't travel internationally very often.

I got paged while I was waiting. The woman at the information desk had a note for me:

"After your coffee with the philosopher, go where the Zouave get their feet wet."

And as posted in the comments

At the bottom of the Introductory Level page there is an image of chess pieces

with a code underneath that says

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
choose your piece

I'll send an email to try and find out more about it.

Sorry it took so long for me to post here, I have been super busy and most of my online time has been spent on my mobile... UF is a real pain in the butt when using mobile so I was waiting until I could get some computer time.

I agree with Ameliĺ:

I don't know about anyone else, but im getting a "card keepers" kinda vibe to this, also the fact the people who have said they received the email are people who all played it

I also received the email trailhead, and since I am not really involved in many ARGs I can't think of where else I would get one from...

I sent an email saying I choose the white knight.... /shrugs
I also sent in my 'illuminated' task list. I kind of enjoy the TIMI aspect so far, I really benefit from the self help type stuff...

Tbh, I got a card keeper vibe too, but I just thought that would the pm start another arg, because she has the 'Penelope Corwin' one starting on, but who knows. Maybe she does.

I like the pacing of this so far, but we haven't got much of a story yet. Still, looking forward to where this is going.

I also sent in an email regarding the chess pieces. I chose the black knight. I haven't received a response yet, but I will be sure to let you all know when I do.

I wonder why there are two sets of pieces pictured, in two different fonts?

I guess it would make a spiffy substitution cipher.

I noticed that on the Members page only for two of us has now been added the chess piece we chose. HappyPhantom has the White Knight and I have the White Tower (I noticed too late that it's actually called the 'rook' in English). Maybe they'll add the rest of them later.
