this quote at the top of the page keeps jumping out at me and I feel like it's a big hint for us

Quote:
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward."

Could just be a reference to Lucy trying to find out about her/her mother's past, but the placement and wording just feels like a hint to me.

I'm so bad at cracking passwords, but I'm trying. They used the #inspiration in their tweet telling about the newsletter, so I googled the three quotes from the TIMI front page and found out that they are said by Steve Jobs, John F. Kennedy and Ralph Waldo Emerson. The quotes are under the title of "Inspiration". I'm pretty sure the password for Newsletter is in these quotes, but like I said, I'm really bad at this Laughing

I've been trying the same thing, she said to subscribe to the newsletter, which is password protected, and to look to the quotes for inspiration. so it seems clear the challenge is to break the password, which she wouldn't have said unless we have everything we need. Unfortunately, the only thing jumping out at me is the bold death. IDK gonna keep trying...

i tried

username: whyiseverythingpassworded

password: GAH

but no it wasn't that... still trying..

strikes me as odd the word death is in bold also... think someone else mentioned that.. might have a gander back through the tweets again..

either that or i can see us getting clues for a very long time...

I am pretty rubbish at passwords... better at creative things..

unless Amandel cracks it Smile

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

this is a quote from Steve Jobs

Quote:
The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy.

This is a quote from John F Kennedy

Quote:
Death comes to all, but great achievements build a monument which shall endure until the sun grows cold.

This is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson

maybe that is of use for the password cracking

The quote

"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward."

Is another Steve Jobs quote.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ah yes, Churchill. (Death in 1965)

weird, cos it is a JFK quote..

I agree with the death clue thing. I tweeted a Kennedy quote about Churchill and got this tweet at me.

Quote:
Churchill was a personal hero of Kennedy's (Death in 1963)

Heh I did the same. I used deathin1970 as a pw. I also tried it with my TIMI name. I emailed the contact us address and asked if I was doing something wrong by using those.

1970, right?

Ok so the photo has been bugging me so I tracked it down.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's on an NPR article http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=114163098 here.

The photo is captioned On Oct. 29, 1929, also known as Black Tuesday, the market collapsed. Commentator Robert S. McElvaine says the crash was due to policies that allowed greed to rule and income to become concentrated in the hands of a few. Here, people stand on Wall Street in October 1929.

Edit because you cant quote in spoilers LOL

Trouted LOL
