Well, all is simple, as usual.

After their time in the tunnel, Hoodie and Alex both escaped somehow. Slendersick Hoodie needs medication, so he went to his shed, only to find out Alex trashed the place while he was there. Dissappointed Hoodie looks under the blanket and finds no pills. He goes to his another cache (Did I name it correctly?), but there's only one there, not enough. Hoodie has to walk to Rosswood Town, we can recognize the street near the antique store. He is walking without his mask in public, of course, so he isn't a complete crackbrain hiding his face with no reason. He goes to the Tim's place, knowing he is in College Town with Jay, but some medication is left in his house for sure. Furniture and the box help us dismiss the idea that it is Alex's house from Entry #72. So, Hoodie just wants some pills and isn't expecting anybody in the house, that's why he doesn't try too hard to remain quiet. He retrieves the medication, but, to his amazement, hears Alex coming from the attic, who arrived to Tim's place on his own business. Why to assume Alex also need pills? Maybe he is looking for some more tapes that Tim overlooked and Alex can now burn (evidence), or just sitting there in ambush, expecting Jay and Tim return to Tim's house (Jay doesn't have one) after their brutal encounter with the Operator. Hoodie then tries to escape very silently, and Alex, though suspicios because of sounds, never knew someone else was there.

Hoodie didn't use the gun, because he doesn't want to kill Alex. He didn't want to kill Alex during the interrogation in Entry #67 either, he wanted to get some answers from him. Maybe where the Ark is and how to get it. He only tried to intimidate Alex with the gun in #67, but it didn't work. He took the gun with him in Entry #73 just in case, he was clearly walking a long way, so to left the gun back there was unsafe. Also, it could help him to flee, if things were to become too bad, maybe he could shoot Alex in the leg or something. Maybe Hoodie (assuming he is behind TTA) sent all this "lead me to the ark" messages to Jay, because he thinks Alex still could trust Jay enough to open himself, but that didn't happen in Season 2, unfortunately. Hoodie knows that he can't get the answers out of Alex himself.

If someone found the escaping sequence strange, that's just because Hoodie opened the door behind his back, still aiming the camera in the Alex's direction, and then escaped backwards. About the empty bottles:

As for the tape, I think Alex has found one more tape in the Tim's attic, that Tim overlook, like under those plastic bags somewhere. Apparently, Hoodie thinks, that Tim didn't give it to Jay intentionally:

But it would implicate that Tim has watched all of the tapes back then, which is unlikely. Maybe Hoodie means that Tim's "I gave you all of my tapes" is an unintentional lie, or else it would be "LIAR!!!" Hoodie didn't take the tape, because he didn't want to startle Alex prematurely. He put the message "return" in the entry's title as a message to Jay and Tim. That is the main point of uploading the entry, not that he is vulnerable - he's only showing his need for pills to explain his breaking into the Tim's house in the first place. I dismiss the theory that Jay was in the house and he had been hiding a tape from the audience, because I don't see how he could hide it from Tim, and Hoodie would have no reasons not to take it in #73 then.

At this point I didn't expect that Hoody's identity would be revealed- but on the bright side, I assume that I won't be ready for it when it happens. And since things feel uneventful, the next few entries might bring about less stalling and hopefully some answers, which is what we really need.

Anyway, I interpreted "Return" as asking Jay and Tim to go back since they are on the run now. Maybe there's something important.

You've pretty much stated my thoughts.
I will add that the fact that Hoody needs to take medication is an indicator of Jay needing it too.

Pay attention to how Hoody films himself in the beginning of the entry: When he gets the gun he places it in probably the only spot in the room where it could of kept vision of him the whole time; when he gets slender sickness going into the red building he throws himself on his knees in front of the camera much like Tim did in the previous entry; and when he takes the pills he doesn't do it Tim style (chugging them with the camera), he films himself taking them, although that could just be because Tim had two free hands and hoody didn't.

Cameras, as proven by Alex's ambush, can attract oppy, but, perhaps to some, it acts as some form of protection.

Also whoever was in the attic (probably Alex, he fits the part the most) why were they in the attic? They have all the lights off chilling in the attic, that upset anyone else?

I won't say much, I can't say much really, but I have a feeling that the story will take a completely different turn than everybody is suspecting.

1) Jay and Tim are getting closer to finding answers. They've knocked out a lot of side evidence and narrowing things down to finding Alex and answering what I believe to be the most important question; what happened during the filming of Marble Hornets which somehow released TO?

2) Hoody's role in the story has severely diminished, he now no longer seems to be the ominous, possible threat lurking in the background. As far as his resources are concerned, he's spent. He's brought back to the point of walking the streets, almost as if he can no longer hold the game up any longer. All thoughts regarding Hoody being "vulnerable" are on the mark, but these aren't the main points to take out of Hoody's video. The video is a reveal - smoke and mirrors up. Hoody is done lurking, out in broad daylight. He doesn't even care about Alex, sneaking into (what is most likely) his apartment.

Suffice to say, we are nearing a confrontation. Everyone is predicting a "well now they break in and steal the tape then we watch the tape," but if that house is Alex's, it's higher on their priority list to actually confront Alex than steal from him. There were only so many tapes used during the filming for MH and they have to run out sometime. A great many are in possesion of Jay, many more were burned and later found by Jay, and Alex has made many attempts to destroy as many as possible, leaving only that one tape (with perhaps a few more) holding the answers that we are asking for.

A confrontation is a more likely option at this point. Everything is building up to it. The loose ends are now all being tied up, one at a time; Hoody is done, the last of Alex's hints are being cleaned up, TO's presence is strong in Jay's mind ("it's out there" Entry #72) and there is no where else for the story to go but forward.

I really like this theory.
I can see it now...:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jay: We have to find Alex.
Tim: Are you crazy? After what he tried doing to us? What he WILL do to us?
Jay: He's the only one that can answer the questions that we seek, and we can't keep running from him.
Tim: I just hope you know what you're doing. And let's not go unarmed. *Grabs baseball bat*
Jay: I hope so too. *grabs rolling pin*

*drive to Alex's house*
*enter Alex's house*

Alex: What the hell are you two doing here?!
Jay: We're here to find out what you know!
Tim: Jay, let's get him!
*Jay and Tim beat down Alex and Tim pins him down*
Tim: Why did you do it?
Alex: What?
Tim: WHY did you attack us during the filming?! Why did you lead us to sacrifice us to tall, pale and faceless?!
Alex: Wouldn't you like to know?
Jay: I'll find the tape. Just keep him down.
Tim: Alright. Be careful.
*Jay goes to find the tape*
Tim: What's in that attic?
Alex: Nothing, why?
Tim: What are you keeping in that attic?
Alex: Nothing!
*Tim punches Alex*
Tim: Tell us!
*Alex notices Hoody in the doorway*
Alex: Behind you.
*Tim looks behind, notices Hoody*
Tim: Jay?
Jay: I got it! What did Al-*notices Hoody, charges him, knocks him down*
Jay: Who are you?! *unmasks Hoody, turns out to be *insert missing character here**
Jay: What the...
*The Operator appears in the room, everyone starts coughing and convulsing, Tim and Jay collapse, Hoody remains on the floor passed out, Alex is catatonic*
*The Operator disappears, the attic opens us*
*Amy comes down the attic, notices the 4 people in the room, and stumbles out, coughing*

Har har har, but i do appreciate the effort you put in mocking my "theory," this is just my best guess. Sure, the story-telling method is anything but traditional, but it's got to come down to some very key moments where these answers are revealed. I know i'm wrong in the end, i doubt very many of us are "right," but it's fun to guess Very Happy

RETURN and YOU ARE A FAILURE...

So, what, did Hoody drop out of school and someone's suggesting he return to graduate so he's not a failure?

That's as much as I got out of it... heh.

New note: Although, as someone has already mentioned, it's kinda weird that there's at least 6 or so pill bottles laying around in the cabinet of the house. And the one empty pill bottle at the abandoned/burned building. What's up with the stockpiling of unnecessary items?

I feel like Entry #72 showed us all that the pills just lessen the pain, but do they completely prevent a coughing attack? Why are they so dependent?

This. I agree with almost all of this. In fact, I don't think there is much of anything worthwhile that we'll find that isn't in this post.

Two things that I would like to contribute:

1) Maybe Alex was in the attic because that is where he sleeps? It makes sense -- there's only one entrance, and he's be able to hear anyone trying to enter. It probably is the safest spot in the house. Not to mention, it leaves the rest of Tim's house looking abandoned, making the trap more likely to succeed.

2) I'm not sure at all what Hoody means by "Liar" in reference to the tape, but I do know that it is very important.

A few thoughts:

I feel like there has to be some connection between the unexplored attic in entry 72 and the attic in this entry. Perhaps this entry is further confirmation to Jay and Tim that they need to return to Alex's old house from 72 to explore the attic. If Alex is/has been keeping someone up there, they might find some evidence.

I'm intrigued by how we've received so many Hoody videos uploaded directly to the MH channel lately, as opposed to Hoody dropping off a tape for Jay and Tim to find later. In a sense, it means the story is moving faster (even if we feel like not much is happening), as we're able to see events and locations in Rosswood and College Town without Jay and Tim having to relocate frequently. Perhaps, even, this is what Hoody has wanted all along, to work in parallel with Jay and Tim.

Theory time!

TTA could be Hoody's masky state. Hoody keeps the getup on to keep everyone off guard, and needs the meds to keep control.

Hoody went to Tim's house in search of medication. Maybe the tape in the box has some sort of incriminating evidence he wants to keep from Jay.

That looks like Jay peering through the window at the end to me. The distortion coming off of him when he's coming down from the attic could be a side effect from 72, since Jay's been "out of it" since the encounter in 72.

I've also been thinking about this. The reason TTA has been inactive for about 3 months may be that Hoody has been taking his meds, but now we've seen he's running out of them. I would expect a TTA video soon if this is right.
It could even be related to the changing fonts at the beginning of this entry. I mean, the appearance of the Camcorder font (the one TTA normally uses) over Verdana (the usual one for text in entries) could mean that Hoody's "TTA state" is emerging again.
Just some speculation.
