I just don't know anymore. For me it makes more sense to be Alex, but it really looks like Jay for me...

The thing is that both have reasons to be there, but Hoody has not real reasons to upload it to the Marble Hornets account if its Jay, unless he wants him to be moving again, or if Tim doesn't know where Jay is... maybe Jay "escapes" while being in his other personality.

But here is everything speculation.

Didn't we settle that it was Tim's house? Did we come up for a reason as to why Alex would be in his attic?

I still don't get why they'd use Troy if it was meant to be Alex. Even if he wasn't available, they could have done some easy editing and instead of doing one take for the whole thing, just shot that last bit when joseph was around

If it truly was meant to be alex, i again have to inquire why he would move from his apartment to a house in the same town. he didn't move by entry 50 which was months after entry 45 where he found out hoody/masky knew where he lived, so that excuse is out the window

the thing that bothers me is that the whole "return" thing implies that they should return to alex's old house, but given the paths hoody took to get to this house, this house is in rosswood town, not college town. that's gonna end up being a huge continuity error if true

Yeah but that part at the end wasn't even necessary for the entry. They could have left it out and nothing would have been different. So why rush it and use a substitute person rather than just leaving that part out?

Okay, for those saying that it does not have to be the same person IG than OOG:

I know. Most of us know. But, right now, we do have the same reasons to think its Troy as Jay, or its Troy as Alex. I mean, we have no confirmation that it was the case that Joseph was not available. We DO know that Hoody being played by different people is a thing, but we do not know about this for sure, so please, stop considering the theory of "Troy playing Alex" as a fact, because we don't know, and telling other people what to think about it. I do not mean that this is a wrong theory, in fact is one of the multiple things I think it could be.
In my last post I was just wondering about different options, and I think there is no reason to state something like "How many times is this going to be brought up?" and being mean...

So, it makes sense it was Alex? For me it makes sense, but also it makes sense for that person to be Jay, for multiple reasons, and as it was stated before by someone, if they wanted us not to be wondering who that person was, they would have showed us him directly, or if it was the case that they had to play Alex with a different actor, they could make in other way. So what I really think is that they just want us to not to be sure about who that person was, and they wanted us to wonder the identity and the motivation of that unknown person coming down from an attick, so I think just saying here "it was x person because of reasons" doesn't make sense at all.
