I am very conflicted. I am eager to see what happens next, but it still tugs at my heart strings. If we are to believe certain things and images, then Parker's demise already occurred (one iteration of him, anyway), and he seemed like a nice enough guy and cool, but Randall is such a woobie and a sweetheart and got mixed up in this and then when he tried to leave, he got sucked back in. Even Parker announced that to us in a "confessional" type moment, and said something like "I feel bad for getting this kid mixed up in this, all this for a story..."
Since I don't know all the details and am still trying to figure things out, I will express my sorrow for Henry, as well. Supposedly, he just came into possession of these things through his work in the military. His only crime (that we know of) is curiosity. But, such is the human condition.

Edit 2: This is one of the lines from the Tennyson poem that was highlighted in the book Randall "found" (that manifested) in the snowy woods in Log 18.

Here's that whole passage:

 		Holy shit, I just had a revelation! How did I not see it sooner?!

There is so much information in these Logs that it is quite the daunting task to note all the details and their relevance. I have been concentrating on clothes and jewelry lately, and it finally dawned on me --- Emma has what looks like a ring around her neck, and it may or may not be relevant. So, I'm gonna leave that as possibly a coincidence.

But, one iteration of Parker wears a tribal-type bone fishing hook around his neck, which would be in line with the Parker character in one of Lovecraft's stories that I mentioned in a previous post. It also would fit in a general sense when you consider the whole Cthulhu angle.

But, it just now dawned on me that at least 3 people in these Logs have a silver key around their neck, which is totally a reference to two stories by Lovecraft, "The Silver Key" which he wrote solo, and a sequel of sorts that he co-wrote with E. Hoffman Price, called "Through the Gates of the Silver Key".
In a nutshell, the protagonist, Randolph Carter is lamenting that his youthful world is slipping away and would much prefer to spend time in his dreamworlds than in the mundane "real" world. And who in the fuck can blame him? Certainly not ME. He has a dream about a key in an attic that his dead grandfather tells him about and he retrieves the key from said attic (which is engraved with curious symbols) with the hopes that said key will allow him to open the dreamgate and again revel in it's beauty that rivals the "real" world. He is a 10-year old boy in the dreams and he is hoping to ultimately meet his adult self -- who he expects to reveal to him all the mysteries of time/space and the cosmos.
In the sequel, Randall gets more than he bargained for and I could write a tome here, but A. It would be far too involved and B. I have a feeling it would contain spoilers.
The people whom he loves/trusts in the Logs are wearing keys for a reason, as they have a role of sorts after "Shit goes down". This is a very brief synopsis and a few minor details may be off, but I believe it still conveys the gist.

Edited to add that a good deal of our protagonists journey/experiences also seem similar to Lovecraft's first part of the dream-cycle "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath".

 		Holy shit! I noticed that too! There WERE keys around their necks when I saw them! But that means that there are locks for them to gain access to, correct? Would Henry or Randall have any ability to access them at all, at the very least metaphorically? Or may that be a clue to something else? I sound stupid for even entertaining the thought...

I don't think it sounds stupid, even though I know why you would say that. With these circumstances, who the Hell knows what's possible or how things may fit into this particular narrative.
We have been presented with both realistic and fantastic (as in, fantasy, otherworldly) evidence throughout these Logs that Henry has offered up for our viewing pleasure and opinion/help, etc and during all of it (for me anyway) it has been really hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
I also suspect this mystery contains some more modern influences, so that makes it even more difficult (yet fun) to sift through what we're given and I swear I'm not kidding that I find something new every fucking time I view one of these Logs or the info on Henry's Twitter.
Also, I forgot to mention before that at some point Randolph Carter ventures into some mysterious cave and shit happens there, as well. Oh, and in Log 18, when Randall goes to look for the library, I noted that the was a blue tinge on the film when he arrived at the entrance, and there's something to the way it's presented that makes me wonder if it's even more significant than meets the eye. Like, there is not actual "Gate" per se, but the way he pauses when he gets there before he ventures into the woods and the plaque on one of the columns and the graffiti on it. Sometimes, one can read far more into something than was intended, but I have to say with these Logs, I tend to miss more than I initially see and recognize, there are so many layers!
So, therefore, I never know what is a casual thing in these Logs, and what is intentional, because I am not kidding when I say that I have been very hard-pressed to find anything in these logs or anything that we have been presented with that is "filler", because it's all meat and potatoes up in this bitch! Cool

Amrith777, thank you SO much for your amazing analysis on everything! You shoul do a blog dissecting various ARG series & reviewing them. That would be epic. This has been an amazing journey. I'm awed and ecstatic that this series was made.

Also, I am still trying to figure out what just happened -- a lot of info in this Log. And yet -- not nearly enough. Shocked Sad Wink

On a side note: Thank you, Pandaren for your kind words. I have enjoyed interacting with you and sharing this strange journey. I feel as if I have not done this story nearly enough justice, but my dissection will continue, I am not done here and maybe I will do the Wiki. I don't want to let anyone down.
