Could totheark be the operator? (Entry 73 spoilers)

On first impression, I immediately thought "What the hell is this guy saying?" On second thought, this actually seems plausible. Since we really know very little about the Operator's motives, the fact that he is attempting to send Jay cryptic messages could give a reason for his existence. It's his way of having "fun" I guess.

The only thing that really wouldn't make since is why there is clearly footage from someone's perspective that couldn't be the Operator. The more plausible corollary to this theory is that the Operator was using them to gain footage and distorting it for his own purposes.

Nonetheless, this is a really interesting perspective.

I don't think totheark is the Operator, but I do think its (his/her/their) messages are the result of having one's mind wrecked by the Operator. I'm not sure the messages are cryptic on purpose, it might just be the closest totheark can be to communicating in a coherent way.

I would say "how does he type with the flipper hands" but that's like asking Strong Bad how he types with boxing gloves. It just has no answer.

Oh wow, I just posted a theory similar to this in the Entry 73 thread, didn't even notice this thread, unless I noticed it subconsciously or something, then claimed it for my own, either way it does kind of almost work as a theory. It'd definitely be a twist MH needs.

My theory was that the TTA that people keep theorizing about (Hoody's boss) is actually in his slendy-state (Like an extreme version of Hoody/Masky) and appears to be TO.

Much as I like this theory, I'm afraid "Decay" disproves it. "Decay" explicitly
threatens Alex with death. We've seen in entries 45 and 67 that the Operator is protecting Alex, not trying to kill him.

So the operators nubs can type things on a keyboard? And he knows how to edit video? No.


Hoody is so clearly totheark, and there are more than enough hints pointing to that. People will believe there's more than one person running the account, but IMO, they scrapped that idea back in season 2. The reason we haven't seen a TTA in a while is bc hoody is totheark, and he uploads vidoes straight to the channel (they said the tta channel is not necessary for the story, and at this point everything hoody's gonna show is necesssary to the story). Hoody also obviously edits in things like the black/white text saying entry 73 shifting around, it's not distortion.

I'm almost convinced at this point that sometimes the distortion is not the operator's doing. Like, the "sickness" inside of them builds up to a point and then they start coughing and the distortion starts because the "sickness" is being expelled from their body through coughing

I'll just say, I never legitimately thought this simply because the idea of TO at a computer seemed far too ridiculous and because by now it's pretty likely that it's Hoody. But during Season 1, I couldn't help but feel like the really screwed-up early TTAs seemed like what would happen if TO made a video.
