I think the Tumblr has been updated. The picture now has an official title.

"Sandy Hook, the location of the second fragment."

did it say that under the pic before and i just missed it?

No that's new.

Now I really wonder if we have to find the location from the photo. You may want to just print out a copy of the picture before your trip just to be on the safe side.

I had already planned on having a copy of the pic with me, probably on my Ipad. i was going to hunt the spot just as a time killer until more specific cords were given but yeah, i agree with you. that pic maybe our cords :p

i think im going to ask our mechanic.

Hopefully we get a quick response.

They did say the puzzles would get harder, but man this would be insane LOL Find Cords by a picture alone.

i had a realization just now after staring at that pic for a while. the pic is of a hilltop over the tree line. so there is a chance that it is simply the highest point in sandy hook. if so that may make it much easier to find.

edit: also just realized, my guess would be the lighthouse would be at the highest point right? thats how they work? Razz

True but the lighthouse looked much taller to where it wouldn't have that kidn of view... at least from Google Maps.

I was thinking it may be taken from the field that's near the lighthouse, or what looks like a field on Google Maps. LOL

yeah i dont think the pic was taken from inside the lighthouse, i just think someone was standing in front of it or near it.

i want to check out the lighthouse anyway just cause i think its cool, so that will probably be the first place my wife and I head when we get there.

also, I have to say i have loved treasure hunts and maps and stuff like that (big geocacher) my entire life and i am having a blast planing this all out. Kudos to the PM for making a really fun game.

I have a feeling your geocaching past will come in very handy as this progresses Lobo Smile

And totally agree, I haven't been this excited about a game in a while, especially a game that dosnt have videos and the likes. It's more like a giant scavenger hunt with a story! Smile

arcadiaexeter asked: In your expert opinion, Should we expect another code to a specific fragment location? or do you believe we are meant to use the picture provided to find it?

I can't say for certain, but if I was a betting man, which I am not save for the occasional Swansea match on the football pitch, I would wager a guess that you are likely able to determine the location using the image alone, but a more specific hint to its location will be revealed as the fragment crosses over.

so it seems that pic can lead us there, but does that mean the drop is already there? cause what if i get to that spot before it "materializes"? anyway sat morning is going to be me hunting for the spot using only that pic until the cords are given. i hope someone who can decode the cords is online at the time lol

I'm still tooling around on google maps, but not having a lot of luck yet unfortunately.

I'm on the west coast, but will be on night shift, so I can probably help out if it comes in early.

I have been all over google maps and google earth in an effort to see if I can pinpoint the location using one of the user-uploaded images, but no luck, as well as doing a reverse google image search for the photo.

I'm 90% sure the fragment isn't there yet; the date with the photo being Saturday and the line "Once it crosses over". I have a feeling it's either going to be a feet-on-the-ground type thing or coordinate determination once we get them.

yeah i would figure they wouldnt put it down days before out of fear of it disappearing.

i was actually joking with my wife that it would be funny if we saw it "appearing" and if we should interfear. but we wouldnt.

Yeah if you see it "appear" just pull a jedi on yourself "This isnt the PM your looking for" LOL

BTW Was looking around Google Earth and had a momentary giggle over the fact there is a "clothing optional" beach near by. Better be careful while filming! hehe
