I hope this assists you.

From what I could put together from the Mechanic's description of the Toronto location, this photo posted to Panoramio seems to show the area. http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/20756328.jpg

Yup, that seems to fit.
This would be the "pay your respects" part:

Good luck Bruce! Have a fun day.

Must say it's quite cool that the sites they are using now are historical sites and not just some random field some where. Smile

Gives the drop retrievers something to do besides just grab the drop and go.

Great job bruce! Literally just got home and watched it.

Honestly the grave stones in the wall caught my attention almost more than the hunt did at first. That is such a cool way to set them up.

First thing of note was when you read the name Vyacheslav Molotov. While he didn't invent the Molotov cocktail he was where the name came from

Quote:
The name "Molotov cocktail" was coined by the Finns during the Winter War.[1] The name is an insulting reference to Soviet foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov, who was responsible for the partitioning of Finland with Nazi Germany under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in August 1939. The pact with the Nazis bearing Molotov's name, which secretly stated the Soviet intention to invade Finland in November 1939, was widely mocked by the Finns, as well as much of the propaganda Molotov produced to accompany it, including his declaration on Soviet state radio that bombing missions over Finland were actually airborne humanitarian food deliveries for their starving neighbors. The Finns, far from starving and engaged in a bitter war for national survival with the Soviet forces, sarcastically dubbed the Soviet cluster bombs "Molotov bread baskets" in reference to Molotov's propaganda broadcasts. When the hand-held bottle firebomb was developed to attack Soviet tanks, the Finns called it the "Molotov cocktail", as "a drink to go with the food".[2] Molotov himself despised the name, particularly as the term became ubiquitous and genericized as Soviets faced increasing numbers of cocktail-throwing protestors in the Eastern Bloc in the years after World War II.[3]

Just think that is kind of interesting.

Here is the numbered code from the new phone message:

Quote:
1. 2–21. 3–22–14. 4-23-15-4. 5-24-16-5-18. 6-25-17-6-19-25. 7-26-18-7-20-26-7.

Apply standard letter replacement we get this:
Quote:
A. BU. CVN. DWOD. EXPER. FYQFSY. GZRGTZG.

And applying the substitution we got a few weeks ago we get this:
Quote:
A. PT. DHW. SUGS. IYVIN. FMQFJM. BRNBKRB.

Ran all of them through Caesar shifts, not a single clear answer from any iteration. Unfortunately I don't have the time to mess around with it more while at work.

I'll get the transcription of the new Mathematician note when we can get a clear scan. The Mechanic's photo is a little too blurry to make out portions of it. Might tackle it at lunch however.

So hey, if you put each one on a new line, you get a bit of a pattern:

Quote:
1
2 21
3 22 14
4 23 15 4
5 24 16 5 18
6 25 17 6 19 25
7 26 18 7 20 26 7

Not sure what to do with it, but I'm assuming it's not a substitution code

How did I miss that? >_< I blame the job.

Possibly of note (though likely not) numbers 8-13 are missing. Not that this helps me at all figure out what the heck it all means. Razz

Yeah so triangle of numbers.

Yeah.

Um.

I got nothing.

There is obviously some sort of pattern to them. But is it important, or is like the previous call and it's to cover up something in the background. Think I'll mess with the recording some.

You can hear something low underneath most of the audio and I can see it in the spectrogram, so likely something is there again.
ETA - feels a bit like morse but not sure yet.

ETA2 - attached is just the low frequency audio.
