 		So, I guess every single detail needs to be shared Smile that or they just forgot to make it red after I submitted. But yeah, I thought the WAV files would also be shared on the tumblr, but I noticed tonight the Toronto update only included the images. So maybe The Mechanic was waiting for the audio? *shrug*

This is what I was able to get from thebruce's YouTube vid. (A first shot, anyway)

Message 1
"March 8th, 1943, the Mechanic would love to see this. In a few moments, military targets within the German held city of Rennes will be (unclear) in flames. The final step of our reconnaisance mission I started months ago. You will be able to hear the planes any second... here it comes. (followed by planes and bomb sounds). Target destroyed. Secondary explosions confirmed. We'll head towards the target location at (unclear). Until then (Operative out?) (running sounds followed by muffled words)"

Message 2
"March 24th, 1943, two straight weeks of pitch dark travel. Switzerland tomorrow, unless plans change. Airdrop information is putting me in touch with the Swiss (porter?) who will get me the documents I need to get into German occupied territory. I will then cross into the Soviet Union. The plan is to reach (Moscow?) by mid April. That will be the easy part. Oh... a request for the Mechanic, in your next airdrop, some Opening Day box scores would be fantastic."

There does seem to be a quiet whisper near the end of March 8; from about 2:00 to the end.

On a whim, I canceled out the left and right channels (invert waveforms on one channel, mix with the other) - the result is the audio that is not identical between L and R. That cleared out all the background and narrative audio, and left the attached audio, the whisper...

 		The History I have found has Nuremberg being bombed on March 8th 1943. That same day was also Rennes leaving 299 dead.

Another possible target in the area of Rennes could have been the V1 rocket, rocket sleds. Few today know about the V1 rocket installations needed to launch them at England.

We had hockey, and now baseball. Not sure what to do with the data within, but consider: http://www.baseball-almanac.com/opening_day/odschedule.php?t=ATL

and

...so either there's something in the numbers, or possibly the drop is at the Braves stadium (even though they were in Boston in 1943.)

(also, likely it's the Swiss "forger" providing the fake documents ;D )

Those are just the tumblr images aren't they? The Mathematician note has the same blurriness, and we still don't have the text on the back of the painting...

heh, I know first hand they are definitely not the same Wink (also, I wouldn't do that Razz )

And really the text on the back is just the sentence. The literal text is in the description of the painting.

 		Little random bits.

First the start of the diary. With the word Kascade, and the reference to harsh sounds in the throat, I'm thinking the man he's talking about speaks German. Not a huge jump for the time frame. But thought I'd mention it.

Secondly the names. I posted earlier about how Molotov was, but the other guy is equally as interesting.

Igor Vasilyevich Kurchatov (Russian: И́горь Васи́льевич Курча́тов; 12 January 1903 – 7 February 1960), was a Soviet nuclear physicist who is widely known as the director of the Soviet atomic bomb project. Along with Georgy Flyorov and Andrei Sakharov, Kurchatov is widely remembered and dubbed as the "father of the Soviet atomic bomb" for his directorial role in the development of the Soviet nuclear program, in a clandestine program during World War II formed in the wake of the USSR's discovery of the Western Allied efforts to develop nuclear weapons.
