hey can someone give me a rundown on how the ogham is being translated?

or even written? cause im looking at the runes, and they arent making any sense.

or which translated parts are which in the image?

Normally, each line branching off from the main line is how Ogham is read.
However, it's difficult to tell all the individual lines that way and so they are using a new method.

So instead each letter is marked by the first initial intersecting line. You could think of this as line 0.
Branching off from line 0 are little tick marks. These marks determine which letter it is, as well as if it is slanted, goes complete through, or is on top or bottom. So, for example, ___|-___ would be the letter "H" because we have one tick mark coming off of line 0, and it is pointing upward rather than down. If it were facing down then it would be the letter "B."
While the other Ogham was read vertically, this Ogham is read horizontally and not backwards.

I've numbered each line with its corresponding translation on the picture below. Here are the words for each number:

i'll sit through and do the thing. I'm not sure about the left and right single sides. im inputting the alternate translations based on the left being the left side ogham, and right being right side ogham as well.

I initially thought the same. However, as Tenshi pointed out a few pages back, there is really only one direction it can go. You can determine this thanks to the slanted lines. The slants can only go in one direction and the tick marks that come out from the slanted lines point to the right side. From this we can tell that all tick marks must point to the right and so if they point to the left then you know it's an upside-down/incorrect reading.

I'll ask my friend if he can translate the thing. he can speak Gaelic.

EDIT: given the way its done, I translated it to horizontal reading and wrote out the lines. my answers, which match the others, are listed below.

Yeah this puzzle is not making it easy on us, I keep hoping for an "Ah ha" moment but that has yet to strike.
