That twitter dude's profile has this in it:

Quote:
This story on a gloomy night / Will make the hearers shake with fright! / [Writer], that story well I know / I can't be loitering-- let me go !

Just for the record.

EDIT: I googled it, and it turns out to be from an English translation of a French poem, "The Hunter and The Milkmaid" by Pierre Jean de Béranger. Specifically, from this book, if it helps. Might get another book cypher, after all.

Also, its profile pic is the same as the logo towards the end of the first promo type video...

New tweet from shapeLITE480
Quote:
Buddhists destroy sand mandalas. Heraclitus said "τἀ πἀντα ρει καὶ οὐδὲν μένει." Life is... ephemeral. http://bit.ly/17sdQvD Wednesday, 8AM

The Greek sentence translates to "Everything flows, nothing remains" (at least with google translator).

On a slow speed Jeremy has "Don't Fear the Reaper" from Blue Oyster Cult playing on his vid. This makes me like him a lot... for the moment. *am rocking & typing* Laughing

Wikipedia has a fuller quote

Quote:

"πάντα χωρεῖ καὶ οὐδὲν μένει" καὶ "δὶς ἐς τὸν αὐτὸν ποταμὸν οὐκ ἂν ἐμβαίης"
Panta chōrei kai ouden menei kai dis es ton auton potamon ouk an embaies
"Everything changes and nothing remains still ... and ... you cannot step twice into the same stream"[36]

Edit because I pasted the wrong thing

Well it's somebody following this thread. That's an unlisted video, and the only place it's linked from is here.

I meant to say that the PM is monitoring this thread, but the players that are following this thread could not be him.

Yay I like a PM who keeps to a schedule!

That latest tweet is a quote from Lovecraft.. of course.

And the 'dreams' part was set off by spaces -- that doesn't show up because the forum autocorrects any weird spacing.

Silly forums!

Didn't even notice that after posting. Thanks for the clarification danteIL Smile

Three months from five days ago is November 4th. Falling in line with the first video saying November.

So I was curious about the capitalization on Cycle of Stories and found something very interesting and very OOG. I will stress now, don't read this website if you don't want spoilers. But I figured I'd post it for those who may not mind, or want a peak.

After some thought I decided to remove the link so no one could get the game spoiled for them. Smile

Having seen what Tenshi saw,
I'm all in on this one. Very Happy

Googling "Cycle of Stories" gives the Wikipedia page for H.P. Lovecraft's Dream Cycle

Basically stories about an alternate diminsion which we can enter in our dreams.
May or may not be useful. Razz

Also, given that video Jeremy Nigellus posted,
do you guys think there may be any connection to the Cardkeepers game?
I saw a couple usernames in that thread that are playing here.
What do you guys think?

Not familiar with the Cardkeepers game. So can't say one way or another. But it could be tied to the Dream Cycle.

On an interesting note, some of the Dream Cycle collection of stories have one of Lovecrafts best known reoccurring characters. Randolph Carter.

As any big Lovecraft fan knows... Carter is a Mary Jane.
