 		I have been having an interesting conversation with Mr. Lite through Jeremy's YouTube account. I sent a message reaching out to Jeremy and he replied instead.

 		I'm really not sure where this story is going.

First it was something about Lovecraft and writers and was super cryptic. Now it seems to be about some guy being hunted and other then the dude posting the videos there seems no connection.

I'm still hoping this is some sort of lead up.

Everything so far could simply be the 'planning and preparation' stage, here's a resource known as a 'Story Mountain' used to help to plan a story:

Honestly I was a little surprised by the new video, what with Jeremy on the run. Wonder if that means they caught him, or if our enigmatic twitter friend is using the account.

Here's why it bothers me (and excuse me but I am going to go META here for just a moment):

The PM has apparently realized that s/he needs more players for this ARG. So far, it has been very small-scale, that is clear. But, I don't feel that it is appropriate to put the burden on the *players* in this situation to bring more people into the game. If we choose to encourage others to join in, it should be spontaneous -- not simply because we are being asked to do this on behalf of some bizarre 'contest.' Instead, I feel that the PM should do more to make the actual content of the game more compelling/engaging/interesting such that people, when they choose to check out this thread or other sources, decide to stick around of their own accord because they are drawn into what's going on.

[This is true of ANY ARG, by the way.]

After a promising start with the initial video and puzzle etc, this ARG has kind of stalled (in my opinion) into something that is rather disjointed and without a clear narrative focus. It doesn't really matter is this is pre-ARG or just early ARG, or even mid-ARG -- there has to be something *there* in order to keep people following the story events and coming back to see what's happening. I'm okay with mysteries -- I don't expect everything to make sense as an ARG progresses. But I guess I do expect there to be some sense of forward momentum. I'm hoping that this ARG manages to regain some sense of momentum such that other players will want to engage and join in of their own accord, not necessarily because they have been artificially recruited. E.g., WHY do we need a larger audience? What purpose will that serve within the context of the game world? There has to be more organic ways to do this.

But again, this is just my own opinion. I won't think badly of anyone who does decide to retweet whatever Mr. Lite asks us to.

I could be stretching here and most of this is based only on my opinion, but there seems to be an occult theme (of sorts) going on. For example the video A Curious Host (to me) looks as if it were filmed from the perspective of a dead or dying person. The term host might be a reference to a particular sacrifice. (I am thinking like the Eucharist of black religion?) It has been plainly stated that by November, Mr.Lite will kill someone and we will be watching. In magical ritual, there is something to be said about witnesses. The more witnesses to the ritual, the more energy is attained, and the more powerful the magical influence. This could possibly be one of the reasons we see so much ritual symbolism in pop culture these days.... Anyhoo, the bigger the 'audience', the more witnesses to the sacrificial ritual, thus ensuring the attainment of whatever goal the ritual was designed to do.

 		Essentially, while I do concur with danteIL both danteIL's and HP's viewpoints are well-expressed and cohesive. In fact HappyPhantom has presented a seriously compelling reason to not involve my unsuspecting acquaintances at this moment. Really, my instincts say that this is a project from a well-meaning albeit novice PM.

How are you doing? I realized I never asked you that before, so I hope all is well in your life. Life on the road isn't very much fun, but you sure meet interesting (very odd) people at the bus station at 3 AM...

This is what I know so far:

SL is part of some organization. He's not the leader, I don't think...maybe he is I really just don't know. It doesn't make much sense- sometimes I've heard of there being two or three different groups that work together but with independent goals, sometimes just one- but they're into something dark. Something evil with all kinds of emphasis on magic and dreams and stories. I know it's crazy and, if I were you, I'd think I was just a complete nut job. I really hope even after this, you're still willing to help.



Anyway, I am running down a document (or maybe a painting) that was made sometime between 1650 and 1800. It's supposed to contain a great deal of information on this group. The trick comes when you don't know the author or artist and you don't know the piece's name. Anyway, it is, or at least was, in North America by the turn of the 20th century (I think). Now I'm trying to track down where in Europe it came from, who took it to the New World, and then I'm going to try to follow it forward and find where it is now. What I need, because by the time you get on this I'll be on a bus staring out a window, is for you and your friends to check a lead for me.

There was a guy named Matthew Williams, born in Wales around 1605. What I need to know is: What year did his sons come to America or were they born here? I wish I had their names to give you, but I just didn't have time find them before I needed to go. I know there are going to be a lot of Matthew Williams, probably even several from Wales. I don't know if this will have an easily wrapped up answer, so any information is great.
