Sorry just realized I used the wrong Mary LOL it's a Mary Sue.

A Mary Sue is a term for characters that are basically the writers as characters.

The movie is called 1/4

This is a clear shot before it gets all fuzzy.

Looks like a volcano or a mountain to me.. A volcano erupted in Indonesia this week (Mount Rokatenda) and the letters spell "Mounts"

Random searching on Twitter for locations/characters mentioned in "At the Mountain of Madness" gave nothing of interest. I also stared the new video down quite a few times and didn't find any numbers or symbols to help us.
I would assume the rest of the puzzle pieces will be given to us in the other three videos. Would you guys say that the audio might contain something?

It may be nothing, but the capitalised letters in the words at the beginning of the first video anagram to

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
CELSIUS

Dunno

I'm also curious about the line in the first vid saying that our lives might belong to something else, rather than someone.... again probably nothing.

On a different note, reading around Lovecraft there are various writers that influence / have been influenced by him, Poe being (probably) the most notable, and from following tweets ( @m___yf_____m at your service BTW) it seems reasonable to assume we will be looking at other writers too. I had similar thoughts to draghkar and found this

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Joshi further cites as Lovecraft's most obvious literary source for At the Mountains of Madness Edgar Allan Poe's only novel, The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, whose concluding section is set in Antarctica.

May be relevant, may not....I guess we'll find out Very Happy

Keeping in line with the previous thoughts here is an interesting article.

http://www.innsmouthfreepress.com/blog/?p=8077

However I don't see the anagram, I found more letters than just those in the video.

The end of the video reads like a normal sentence, the beginning has more capitals than are necessary Wink

Like I said though, probably nothing Very Happy

Sorry for the double post, but there's a new tweet:

Quote:
Ever been about to fall and get hurt but it was too late to do anything? What if a few months away is still too late?

EDIT: And in response to a couple of tweets essentially saying 'do something now rather than wait then!'

Quote:
Not everything is a matter of action. If its someone else doing the falling, I simply don't care.

While I'm enjoying the twitter back and forth.

I wonder what this is leading towards. It seems incredibly interesting, but I really hope we don't have to wait until November! LOL

Me too Smile

There are some oddities here, 'there is only one writer' then 'HP was brilliant but not unique', now those last tweets which seem to require action then say not everything is a matter of action.....

Plus we haven't worked out the 'O_U_M_N_ST?' (underscores = spaces) which accompanied the Mountain video. I've been looking at writers, their novels, and all sorts of other stuff besides and so far I have precisely.....Nada!

Maybe we missed something?

That's what I'm thinking.

I did find an article talking about Lovecraft and At the Mountains of Madness and it being inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's only full length novel.

But other than that... Nada seems to be contagious. LOL

Yeah, I've read the last (apparently relevant) part of that novel now, still Nada Rolling Eyes

EDIT (to add a ramble..)

I was looking at the original post in this thread, and realised

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
that the initial letters for the stories on the USB add up to 20 letters (ignore the file path, just take the 2 or 3 letters that identify the story)

Then I realised that

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'There is only one writer' is also 20 letters.

Which has me wondering if

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
we have missed a decode?

You mean the dq, mm, az, dwh, bec, eo, cs, rw and pm ?
I think those are just the two or three letter acronyms of the linked story.
dq Dream Quest, mm Mountains of Madness, az Azathoth, etc.
I don't think those 20 characters could decode to anything. Sounds like a coincidence.

Those are the kiddies, and I understand what they represent. But why those particular stories have been chosen isn't clear, and I just don't like coincidences d*mmit!! Laughing
