slender ARGs?

Hello everyone, I have heard about a few slender man ARGs and would like to know some examples, also, are there any slender man series that look like they could be ARGs or are there any current slender ARGs? also, why is it that everyone seems to hate Core Theory? just curious

Here's the problem: Every Slender Man series CALLS itself an ARG... none actually are. EMH came closest, but most of the ARG elements have been dropped along the way as the timeline got stretched out. I think a lot of Slender Man creators got confused by what the term means, (possibly because of them being listed here) and the idea that a web series = an ARG proliferated.

As for core theory... are you asking why the fans hated it? Or why the people who created came to hate it? Because that's two different discussions.

Short version: people hate core theory because it started to interfere with what they wanted to do and because of the internet being the internet, epic flame wars erupted between creators.

Out of curiosity, when was the last time anyone wrote anything for the Core Theory? Also, were any of them good? I've never tried reading any of those blogs, since I just didn't like the idea behind them.

Nope. CaughtNotSleeping is a fully fledged SlenderMan ARG. Parts of the game are capable of being "lost", and characters have died as a result of players- as well as characters having triumphed through Players offering advice and home-invented rites of protection, etc. Some plotlines concern only players and how they cope with their own problems spawning from their attempts to help with helping the main characters, rather than being a part of the main bulk of the series at all.

Hell, we talk to a character in the chat pretty much every week.
