Did anyone else notice that when Jay first appears on screen, he tilts his head looking into the camera, almost like the Operator? It's probably not significant, but a bit humorously creepy.

Jay seems so out of it when Tim pulls up. I can't tell if he's sleepwalking, or confused by Tim's seeming disappearance and waking up in an unfamiliar place. It must have felt like waking up in that hotel from S2 again. That said, I think I can understand why he seems so short with Tim, I mean the guy has a lot of stuff dumped on him in a few minutes ("Hey, you've been out of it for a couple of weeks now after running into that tall guy with no face again. Oh, and you remember that hooded guy and your old buddy who tried to kill you? Yeah, they're back. While we're at it, I'm running low on the only meds that seem to be keeping me from turning into your biggest fan with the mask.").

That's not even going into the fact that Tim gave Jay prescription medication, against his will, while he was unconscious. As others have mentioned, there is just so much wrong with that, I can't really blame Jay for not being too thrilled at the moment, even if Tim may have saved his life.

INT. Tim's house.

(Alex is tied up, taken a fairly savage beating from. TIM and JAY stand over him, all humanity nearly gone in what they have been driven to do)

JAY: What is this thing? What happened?
TIM: Why did it ruin my life?
JAY: And where's Jessica?

(ALEX stares down, broken, defeated, his glasses shattered, stares down at the floor at the floor)

ALEX (weairly, his voice like a dry whisper): Fine, I'll tell you.

(JAY and TIM wait)

ALEX: Love is like three balls falling off a cliff. (Evil smile)

JAY and TIM: Auuuuuuuuuugh!

Another possible factor in Jay's behavior: all this time, he's been the one behind the camera. Filming, documenting, deciding what the rest of us will see, etc. That might have caused him to unconsciously dissociate himself - to feel like he wasn't really part of the action, even with obvious proof to the contrary in the form of multiple attacks on his mind as well as his body.

Now, Tim's the one doing the filming. And here he's filming Jay. Taking away that tiny bit of protection, no matter how delusional it was. And Jay doesn't like it one damn bit. Then again, I suspect there aren't many film makers who enjoy having their own cameras turned on them.
