Tim: Why? And why should I trust you?

Alex: Options. How many do you have?

Jay: Alex...?

Tim: Please, Jay, don't ask questions. Just go.

Jay: Alex....

The Operator: I shall reveal to you all, gentlemen...MY TRUE FORM!

(All three stand transfixed as The Operator begins to tear at the fabric, then at his very face, it is hollow inside, the body slumps to the floor...to reveal...)

Alex: I- I tried to warn you. I tried to warn all of you....

(....a GIGANTIC FLYING MARBLE HORNET!)

The Operator: Not even the laws of psyhics disobey me!


Jay: AIGHWFOWMVKEOOFJEI!

(Jay runs at Oppykins and slaps him with a camcorder and slams a flashlight on his head.)

TO been mentioned a couple of time as "that Thing," if I recall correctly, but this is indeed the longest, most directly it has been talked about.

I think the most important and jarring thing about it is that they never talk ABOUT it. They've only ever really mentioned it in passing. "That Thing that follows [Alex] around," or here: "You mean...?" "Yeah."

It frankly disturbs me that there's a 9+" faceless, suited being that was pretty much the focus of the person whom the plot revolves around before he went cray-cray. It's something that is directly responsible for loss of memory, severe health issues, and (as far as the characters know) probably all the space-time clusterfucking. It's appeared many, MANY times on film, distorting the hell out of them in the process, apparently unseen by the people taping the events, themselves. It is, also apparently, responsible for at least two characters developing some kind of secondary personality.

And no one talks about it.

It's rather scary, if you ask me.

What if nobody can actually remember what it looks like aside from that basic shape? It actually has a face or something, but it doesn't show on camera (due to the distortion) and it's impossible to retain any other memory of it? I dunno, just throwing that out there.

It's human nature to be unwilling to talk about something you're deeply afraid of. I once met a man who referred to cancer as "the Unspeakable." There's a superstitious fear that naming the thing will summon it. For Jay and Tim, there's also the possibility that the Operator is listening to them.

 		Okay. Stop this right now. Two warnings. DO NOT just blindly quote posts you are replying to. If you absolutely need to quote prior posts, edit out the unnecessary parts (usually everything except the exact text you're replying to). Furthermore, the faux script thing you're doing is really better suited to the off-topic thread.
