Jessica - Alive or dead?

Hey everyone,

So, Jessica...alive or dead? Despite being rather taken with the character, I believe her to be dead or either being involved in Slendy shennigans somehow Sad The world of Marble Hornets isn't exactly known for being kind to it's characters (Jay's search for his friend ends up with said friend possibly being the said cause of the, Tim's alleged childhood encounters with The Operator resulting, etc) and the fact that Jessica remained a lot more level headed Jay throughout season two means that her demise is a dramatic inevitability.

An auxiliary question... would you agree (or disagree) that Jay's motives in finding her are purely altruistic, or do you think he began to develop romantic feelings for her by the end of Season 2?

Well, she's definitely captured. Or dead. Captured or dead.

EDIT: Or captured and dead! Shocked

Definitely altruistic. I just can't see a romantic relationship working out between the two, and you know what happened the last time someone had a girlfriend in this game.

"I just want to find out what happened to her! Maybe it can help us if I know if she's alive or dead! It's kind of my fault that she's in this mess in the first place!" — Jay, Entry #63

I really hope she's alive. The reason she's one of my favorite characters is because of how she was the only logical one in the group. When the situation arose of a tall, malevolent being stalking people, what did everyone do? One started filming everything in a fit of paranoia. One went insane and started killing everybody. One put on a mask and went full split personality. Jessica just wanted to know what the hell was going on.

And there's nothing wrong with a platonic friendship Smile

We're talking about Jessica, not Tex.

I'm hoping Jessica is alive. She is, right now, the best motivation Jay has to keep going instead of just packing up and moving away across the country.

I don't think it's romantic or anything, but she is one of the few people who can relate to Jay because of The Operator.

I'd like to see her back again. I didn't get all the complaints of her acting, it looked fine to me

...people complained about her acting?

Considering she's Jay's only motivation to continue investigating things, I'd say she's alive.

Yeah, on other message boards. I don't think too many here did.

Isn't Jessica May an actual actress, though? I thought her performance was pretty good.

She was looking to be an actress by profession, but there's no such thing as an "actual actress". Her aspirations don't define her ability

Schrodinger's Jessica: she's both alive and dead until she shows up on top of Bruce's corpse in the slendy dimension.

I'd say alive, though, due to TTA insinuating such, and no new information stating otherwise.
