Good news everyone!

According to this article, a new Brain Storm game is launching tomorrow at noon EDT!

Personally, I'm thrilled about taking another crack at the game. I think this is an excellent opportunity to adjust strategies and tactics. Plus, since we'll be in at the opening bell, we might be able to procure some of those elusive high-end knowledge fragments that exhaust very quickly!

Most importantly, we need to reform the uF alliances. Looking at the stats, there are about 15 regularly active players between the two alliances. Both alliances have strong overall rankings; I bet we could crack the top-10 alliance rankings if we get off to a quick start next game!

Who else is interested in another go-round? I know Pixie and I are!

Speaking of Pixie, she is certainly not abusing her mod powers by editing this post to say how much she is an amazing wife & that I love her like crazy, nope nope nope Wink

I am definitely interested in this new round. What I'm trying to figure out is whether it's more beneficial for the team to start near each other, or spread out across the map?

Either way I think I'm going to try and be near Japan this time. It has a ton of fragments, and you're guaranteed at least one knowledge unit very early on. Last game i started in northeast Russia, which I soon discovered to be a huge mistake.

It is more beneficial to spread out around the world {Personally, I see no reason to plan it, let it just happen - more fun that way} because that way you can set up camps easier so it costs less to explore to open more areas.

Say for instance, I set up in the US, and Yelsraek set up in Australia - and in his circle is a spot i can put a camp on. Now I can explore around Australia without it costing tens of thousands each time I want to open a single area.

If we all set up in say Australia, then it would cost way too much to explore other countries, way too much time to do so, and also way too much time to get fragments. Very wasteful.

Why would being in Russia be a mistake??? It can only help your guildies {sorry, i'm a wow player, and that's easier for me to type}, and so long as you get the ability to make camps in other countries it can't hurt you *at* *all*

Awesome, I'm up for the alliance. I'm guessing we should wait for the reset before form it?

But when it happens, send me an invite - to untricky.

There will not be a reset, it will be two games going at once. I strongly suggest reading the forum post Yelsraek linked to, as well as possibly read up on the forums over there in general - lots of tips!!!!

Yes, we cannot form the alliance yet because the second game isn't open yet.

It wasn't so much russia that was bad, it was the north eastern corner, hardly any fragments or minerals, or camps, or much of anything.

But I'll be on right at noon tomorrow to get a good start this time.

Not wanting to overstep, I'm waiting to hear from Space re: the alliance formation (since he formed the first one last time), so that's why I'm not swooping around inviting people.

We'll get it sorted soon enough, and having the alliance put together is not urgent in the first day anyway. Very Happy

UPDATE: Alliance invites going out. Holler if you want in!

End Game

Hey!

The B2 is coming to an end, I wanted to say thank you to anyone who participated and gave their feedbacks!

If you have any suggestions, please tell it to the Genia team (forums, chat, ingame survey), the dev team are really improving the game based on your feedback.

I was personally impress to see spacebass reach 1st position in our alliance with nothing less then 338 000 points! And he joined halfway in the game...

I see another unfiction alliance already popped out in the new B3 game, if anyone is starting an unfiction-2 alliance, tell me, i'm in!

Bests,

It's still early but, I want to point out that 2 Unfiction member are in the top 10!

Pixieyelsraek (#9) for exploring the map (http://i.imgur.com/Tp7eU6x.png)
and Phonochirp (#1!) for defending himself in PVP! (http://i.imgur.com/crythfH.png)

Maybe a little quirk of mine..

In the evaqluation questionnaires on the question what could be improved, I keep adding that a knowledge fragment called arg should be added..

this way ARGs would get the proper attention as well (works 2 ways)

maybe when you guys do the same thing, they might actually include arg in the game..

Great idea, I've just filled out the mid-game questionnaire so I'll have to wait a whilst before I can suggest it, but suggest it I will!
