[META] Don't jump ship on Junko Junsui
no need to reply, just read.

So earlier today I had the chance to talk to a certain person whose name coincidentally has the same initials as his role in JJ.

I won't go over what was discussed; however, I will say this:

There's alot instore for Junko Junsui. ALOT MORE. It would be a shame to let this slip by. Really.

All the beef set aside, there really are good intentions, and much to look forward to.

Regardless of all the silliness that's occured, give JJ a chance to blossom.
What we've seen is a small taste of what this could become if it has the chance to grow.

I won't go into any more detail, so please don't ask. I don't know a whole lot about it. just bits and pieces. But from what I gather, this won't be one for all of us to let us slip by.

Poorly designed, imho. I dunno how much longer it can demand attention from me, I'm quickly losing interest in it.

Yeah, I figured that there'd be a lot more to this game. Too much money went into it to ultimately add up to a lot of dicking around on social networks.

Yeah, I don't plan on jumping ship, even though it seems to me I haven't really been able to contribute any. Razz

Think I'm going to lurk this one out.

It's ceased to be entertaining, on several levels.

I stopped paying attention weeks ago.

Well, having been one of the unforum 3 that had their personal information (posted on a private, IG forum) I decided at that time to go into lurk mode. Since then, I'm pretty much out as I see the cost of participating (time, drama, and a PM that chooses not to follow socially accepted ARG rules) being far in excess of the benefit (which, up to now, was just a couple of belly laughs at JJ Twitter posts.

The odd post "Please don't quit now, cause I know something and its gonna be really cool" isn't going to do it for me.

I'm still out.

I have a question, AAT. You say this is going to get better, which I have no reason to doubt, but do you know what this is actually about (either promotionally or philosophically)? Will it become clear soon?

As far as I gather, one of it's goals is to completely push every boundary of what we know constitutes an "ARG". more philisophical than promotional.

I don't know anything of a time-frame, but this will definitely pan out for a good amount of time. JJ isn't stopping any time soon for the little insight that I was given.

So no known product then, huh? Kinda makes it more interesting if this game is just for entertainment, but I still can't see them putting so much money into it..

I can. Think about how much money artists spend on big projects all the time. If this is something that is both sending a message and designed to make us rethink the ARG genre completely, then I could easily see someone spending some money on it. Plus even if it's not promoting anything specifically, that doesn't mean there will be no returns for the PM. Remember the overpriced T-shirts?
