But we also don't know Jay and Jessica's relationship before that though. Where did she come from? Was she just some girl he met on the street? Was she an old acquaintance of Jays? Her whole setup just seems... off kilter. I don't trust her, never have, never will.

Jessica was Amy's roomate, Jay forced Alex to give him her phone number because he knew she could possibly give him an answer as to what happened to Amy.

Just thought I'd add that we can see a crutch in Tim's living room at 7:00. I suppose that means Tim was living here as far back as when Entry #35 took place.

I'm going to stick with TTA being some creepy cult that includes Hoody and Tim and wants Jay for some reason. The way Tim said "You need to see it.. But not yet.." makes me feel that way.

It could be a video of Jay agreeing to wiping his mind, though. That would be cool. I mean, we technically haven't seen Hoody in a while- We've seen TTA post things, but #73 could have been any time, right? So maybe Jay has been Hoody in the past, and there is no Hoody now, just Tim uploading things to the TTA account and stuff? I mean, we already know he has the password to the Twitter account, and probably the Youtube account as well, since most people just use the same password for everything.

We've still seen Jay and Hoody in the same place at the same time. More than once.

P.S: For me is a pitty there are no really significant female characters (in action, at least) in MH, but my desire of having a badass girl in the series is not enough to make me think that Hoody may be a girl.

Yeah. I understand the significance of Jessica, but it does bother me just a tiny, tiny bit that the most prominent female character in the series is a damsel in distress.

On the other hand, that's the way the story was written, and I wouldn't want them to try to force a stronger female character who doesn't belong into the picture. (Not talking about Hoody, just in general.)

Jessica did strike me as someone who would have been an incredibly good ally for Jay to have, if she hadn't been captured. When seeing Jay had a perchant for filming everything, including herself, she made up a pretty convicing story to ward him off and was brave enough to question him and confront him on his bullshit in order to get answers where Jay could have been ANYONE, including the guy who had put her in the hotel to begin with or just a creepy pervert. (Jay's lack of social skills really didn't help to change that initial impression, either)

Jay made a lot of progress in season one, but didn't often keep a clear head which has had a number of consequences in the series, while Jessica on the otherhand, managed to keep cool in what was a terrifying situation for her and would have been an invaluable asset for Jay's quest for answers alongside her knowledge of Alex for the last couple of years.

(Speaking of which: I hate to say it, but a big problem with season two is why Jessica decided to stay in the hotel. Is it relevant to the plot? Or is it a plot hole? Because, the default reaction to anyone would be to get the hell out of there. Jay, not so much, as given everything he went through in season one, it's more then understandable that he either was affected by Slendy sickness and forget or the shock of what had happened, but Jessica? Not so much. A better route might have been Jessica living in the town and recgonising Jay somehow or revealing she was a friend of Amy who was holding back vital information and then got snatched by Masky, but it's just not realistic that anyone would wake up in a location foreign to them, particularly if you were a woman, and not try to get out of there)

I don't think it's simply a matter of Jessica being a mere dasmal in distresss, but Troseph removing the most useful person who could get things done and provide info on Alex and having Jay encountering a very poor subsituteone of the most unreliable sources and unstable indivduals to create greater tension (because, it is a horror series after all and things can't be too easy). The series could use more developed female characters, I agree, but I wouldn't really cast Jessica as a mere dasmal in distress from the glimpse we got of her character.

Oh, yes, I agree with you. I know Jessica's importance and I liked her character. What I meant is that it would be cool to have a female in action currently, but I like things as are right now and I don't complain about her character at all Smile

No. They'd have to explain that Jay was time traveled from 2013 to 2006, and that he'd rather mentally torture himself than just tell himself what to do. It worked in inFamous because Cole needed to become mentally stronger through hardship to take on the beast, it will not work for MH.

Paradox-- You can't cross your own timeline.

I also support the "Hoody is Jay from the Future" theory.

It's not that the time travel concept annoys, it's that it's being treated like the be-all, end-all theory.

We've seen time travel in small increments such a day-to-night and teleportation via doors and/or TO, but nothing solid to suggest that future versions of characters are appearing in our "present"

In short, it's a theory with as much holes/lack of evidence in it as clues and yet people are treating it as fact. With a mystery as complex and deep as this, you can't do that without causing grief in those open to any interpretation.

While you can't cross your own timeline, there's no reason he should be torturing himself through various means. He is also altering the timeline by leaving clues so your paradox theory is out the window.

Having hoody be future Jay would be the absolute worst reveal, and again, be directly copying the plot of another slender series.

Nobody ever said the IG setting is Alabama, right?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Correct. To my knowledge, nothing has ever been stated explicitly. However, many of us assume that it takes place in Alabama due to the the filming locations.

You can if you the arbitrary rules for the time travel theory chosen allows it.

Given that the next entry will be the tape Jay found, it's going to be hard to believe that Alex/Hoody would remain waiting at that address until Jay confronts him (prob a month from now, 2 weeks per entry minimum). They're going to have to squeeze the tape footage + going to the address in one entry otherwise they're going to have too big a time gap on their hands for it to make any kind of sense
