No, but we do know for a fact that TO is summoned by tapes that he's in.
1. Jay didn't have any problems until he started watching them
2. Alex told Amy not to look at the tape- she did anyway and immediately TO showed up out of nowhere
3. Tim was fine, even around Jay, until he went and watched one of the tapes

With that in mind, the series is quite a bit creepier, huh? I mean, we've activated TO's stalk card by watching it.

This is known as "The Tulpa Effect", where simply knowing about the theoretical existence of something gives it license to manifest in our physical world. Ergo, one's own memories become the key, the weakness, and solution.

The blue is nice, but the orange is unreadable...

I don't think hope they'll ever truly explain the Operator. I want it to be one of those unsolved mysteries, being something that we'll never be capable of understanding.

Jay's always been Unreliable Narrator. I've recently started marathoning again, this time using the lens of "Jay as Unwitting Antagonist" and a lot of stuff is making a lot more sense.

Actually if you take enttry #37 into account, both Alex and Tim have been dealing with the operator since they were children. In fact if you count the number of candles on Alex's birthday cake he would have been 5 or 6 at the time of the video being shot meaning he was born in either 1985 / 1986 and Tim was born in 1987 meaning Alex is older and has been under TO's watch for quite some time.

He's been stalking the both of them, but both have had different symptoms / prolonged issues from being around TO.

How many times are you guys gonna argue this. The operator appeared OVER ALEXS MOM and half the height he should have been. It's one thing to teleport in, it's another thing to teleport in the fourth dimension over someone's body.

If the operator was stalking alex as long as tim, then alex would have noticed blackouts WAY before the filming of marble hornets. The chronologically early entries where Alex is perfectly fine, and then later on gets super paranoid is a dead giveaway of this.

It wouldn't make sense. Jay's camera was filming the entire time between entries 32 and 33. He would have had to edit out the footage of killing jessica, walk back into his room, then pretend to look for her. They would never be able to explain that. If it was a plot set up by Jay that's one thing, but the series will have really jumped the shark if that's the case.

Also, totheark flat out told us jessica is still out there in one of his cryptic clues, so theory denied.

She could have been killed at a later date but I forgot about totheark's clue. Still think it's Jessica related. Maybe Tim knows where she is.

I would also like to point out that we have no definitive proof that Tim was haunted by the Operator early in his life. He was placed in the hospital for having hallucinations. It was only assumed, NEVER STATED that these hallucinations were of the Operator, or that they were in any way related to the operator. Seems a bit flimsy on evidence to take as a fact.

 		When Tim shouted "But what if I'm right!?" there was a pretty heavy spot of distortion. I took that as TO saying "And right you are". I know it's not definitive proof but it strongly implied he really was haunted by TO as a kid.

I think Tim still did have hallucinations as a child as well as real encounters with TO. If you recall, Jay has had two instances of false sightings of "people watching" or TO. It's entirely possible that as a child, Tim was locked in his room standing with a hallucination of TO. If TO was actually there, Tim's weak, child body would've dropped from slendersickness and he'd probably not be able to remember those events.

On the other hand, events like that probably DID happen, but Tim can't remember those, but he can still remember the hallucinations as TO wasn't there.

Tim was obviously haunted by something as a child, it could have been the Operator, it could have simply been his own madness which eventually drew the attention of the Operator. But I don't think they would have gone through all that trouble, with the documentation hospital forms hidden in the maintenance tunnels, the burned out hospital, Tim's ward in the burned out hospital, the recurring use of Masky and most damningly Tim's little "trip" through the Dark World unless he was haunted as a child.
