If you don't think TO has anything to do with the mask/hood then why did you say Tim has a masky state from being stalked the longest?

Well, I'm not the expert on DID here, but I think the split personality could have developed simply from the trauma of being haunted by TO constantly or from Alex's assault on him- an indirect result of TO, but not a natural consequence per se. It's not directly related to anything you could be "immune" to, but rather a side effect of the mental burden of being stalked that long, one that wouldn't necessarily happen to all of its victims.

Am I making any sense? I can't seem to figure out how to explain this.

Possible but it becomes unlikely with the existence of hoodie.
When two people start hiding their face after hanging out with a guy who has no face it becomes a pretty big coincidence.

Something I'm curious about is whether Tim will respect Jay's wishes, or track him down for his own good.

That might give us some insight into something else: several people have speculated that either Tim is lying about not remembering anything about his Masky state, or the two have become one whole person. I find that interesting because while I don't know about Tim's stalking abilities, Masky never seemed to have any trouble tracking Jay down at will. Which could be really good for Jay, or really bad, depending on what Tim's really up to.

Except Hoody has taken his mask off (off camera) multiple times now. We've seen it. So his compulsion to wear it isn't that bad. You know masks can just be used to hide identity sometimes...

If Tim remembers his masky state then that could pretty much explain Conversion

This may also make Jay a liar as well, if he remembers his blackout moments and isn't telling us.

Jay is (and may have always been for all we know) an unreliable narrator.

True, but there's a big difference between being unreliable because his memory is all kinds of fucked up, and being unreliable because he was a straight-up liar right from the start.

I like to think he's always been a liar. Nobody asks for unused footage of a crappy student film in order to upload "anything of significance" for everyone to see-- that implies he knew there was something messed up on those tapes to begin with.

Again dis-regard what I said. Anything I post tonight is just turning into incoherent rants due to anticipation. Sorry.

I think at this point in time, we can't really speculate/discuss much more without repeating things that we've said before. All there is now is an agonizing wait...

Not really. If you were co-director of a movie that you spent weeks working on and the other director wanted to quit it, you wouldn't want all the footage to go to waste either. We have no reason to believe Jay is unreliable unless they give us one.

Why are people so obsessed with the 'Jay is an unreliable narrator' theory? Assuming his memory is fucked (and since everyone elses is, that is a fair assumption) he's guilty of a lie of omission and that's it.

Not saying that I wouldn't like this to happen in the future, I just don't think there's much ground to base the theory on right now.

With all the parallels between him and Alex I think Jay becoming Alex2 is more likely, but who knows. I guess the only thing to do is wait...

Being an unreliable narrator doesn't necessarily have to mean being a dishonest one. Think about it: if you know someone who is a pathological liar, then you can't rely on them. Therefore, they are unreliable. However, if you know someone with severe memory issues, despite the fact that they try to tell you the truth, since what they believe is the truth is often incorrect due to memory error, you can't rely on their word either.

Reliability, in this case, is whether or not you can trust someone to be giving you the correct information. It's not about whether they're honest. If Jay can't remember things properly, he can't be relied on as a narrator. Even if he's trying to tell the truth.
