 		Theory on the tapes Jay got.
I have this theory i have for you guys. I think after 71 Alex took the tapes back. He burnt them in the forest from 69. Some time later Totheark recovered the tapes. He made them playable and put them where jay would find them in 2009. Though totheark forgot to look in one of the holes which were the burnt tapes that was found in entry 69. This theory could explain how totheark has other clips from the tapes and how there is missing audio in some of Alex's tapes. So guys what do you think?

I think I should have stopped myself from posting so a mod could delete this topic. Just kidding. That is an unnecessary set of events that would just drag out the story that provides no real entertainment or develops any more background. It would be easier to have hoody break into Jay's apartment, steal the tapes, edit them, and put them back. I don't see either scenario happening

 		For once, I agree with Marble Hornets.
It might be fun to think about and although I don't see any reason why it's wrong, I can't imagine it bearing enough relevance to the story, this later anyway, to be included.

 		So we assume. We only saw him doing something evil on one burned tape (and attacking Jay was hardly worse than attacking Brian or Tim, two tapes he didn't burn), so we don't really know for sure what motivated his burning those tapes.

 		Even though I disagree with this theory (it seems redundant) it does bring up a valid point to the plot. It has been revealed to us that Alex chose specifically what tapes to give jay. Any tape that shows alex doing something evil was not in an original tape given to jay. Even the tape where Alex and seth are in the basement of doom was obtained by jay by finding it at the red tower,

But my question is why weren't they in the burnt hole? I know some were given to Jay by people other than Alex, so they must have been stolen at some point. Alex attacking Jay wasn't all that bad compared to his other attacks. Makes me wonder exactly how many tapes were kept secret and how many could still be floating around.

 		If ToTheHoody was around at the time he might've stolen the 22 tape before Alex got a chance to burn it. What I still don't get is why Alex attacked him in the first place, if all the tapes were pre-selected why not just let Jay go on home with them? I guess we'll find out eventually.
