Yes, yes I am.

Now everyone should get back on topic and continue as if the mods weren't asleep.

Okay.

Unfiction's reaction to #18, #19, and TTA video Return: "OMG, they obviously tried to feed Jay to Slendy or some other nefarious deed!"

Unfiction's reaction to #76 -wherein the Dynamic Duo take Jessica to a known Operator hot spot in the dead of night: OMG, they were obviously trying to protect Jessica; what are you talking about!?"

They did basically the same thing in both instances, but there were wildly different interpretations. Please to explain?

The only problem is: I'm pretty sure we've gone over nook and craney of possiiblity. But, people here are generally pretty brilliant, so I'm sure they'll uncover something.

Might not see you guys for awhile until #77, as I'm not sure what else I can provide Smile

Ummm...because in #76 it was ALEX who took Jessica to Slendy Tunnel, NOT the "Dynamic Duo"?

Sorry, but this is not an argument for anything. There have been 58 entries between the two. Things change. Anyway, I think he was 'protected' in Return, hence TO ignored him.

Also I'm pretty sure most people would agree they brought Jessica there to lure Alex out, not protect her. Protecting her would be bringing her to a police station or pretty much anywhere that's not the middle of the woods at night.

Grr, I trying to stop myself from posting on this thread, since it's got so out of hand, but anyway.

That idea makes no sense - they were using her to lure Alex out, so they could do what? Run off like pussies? Cos that's what happened. I can't believe that this was planned.

I'm not convinced of whether their intentions were good or bad, so I'll just play devil's advocate for a moment and remind everyone that they didn't just drag her out to the hotel parking lot or something, they took her all the way to Rosswood (which is just far enough away from the hotel that it couldn't have been an accident). Rosswood is TO's favorite place and they almost certainly knew that.

Sure, it was Alex who lured her to the tunnel and TO itself, but the fact that they deliberately kidnapped her from somewhere which we have no reason to believe was especially unsafe for her to a location where they almost certainly knew there were risks of TO showing up, a location which was by no means the only place they could have gone to and could have been entirely avoided, is rather suspect.

Was it to lure Alex out? Based on Hoody's behavior, I'm a little skeptical of that, but whatever they had in mind for her wasn't as simple as getting her to safety, because if it was then it was a piss poor plan. Pretty much any random place would've been safer than Rosswood. Leaving her with Jay would've been safer than Rosswood.

So I don't know. Either they had some agenda for Jessica (whether it was "good" or "bad", it wasn't as simple as keeping her safe from Alex) or there was some imminent danger to her which not only meant they couldn't afford to let her simply leave the hotel with Jay but also somehow forced them to take her to a place housing a known threat.

Technically speaking it was only 14 entries since that was the same night as entry 33.

Still, I don't think he was protected by the Operator, I think the Operator simply ignored him because he was after someone or something else.

Thank you. I tried to articulate this point earlier in the thread, but you did a much better job.

The only thing that I can think of is that they were trying to get her to Hoody's hut. That is in Rosswood, right? Maybe they suspected that Alex knew where they were and that he was coming after them. I get the impression that it's a pretty small town and since Jay was throwing up videos left and right saying "hey, over here!", it's not outside the realm of possibility that Alex had figured out where they were and was coming to get them. And since they had no memory of what he had tried to do, they would have never seen it coming.

So enter Hoody and Masky. They know what's coming and they know where Jessica and Jay are. They take out Jessica first because she's easier to overpower. They get her out of there and Hoody stays with her in Rosswood to lead her to his shack where he thinks she'll be safe but things just go horribly wrong. Masky tries to get the jump on Jay to do the same to him but Jay fights back more than expected and since Masky forgot to put any talent points in his flashlight dodging tree, Jay gets away. But that's not a big concern anymore because they got Jay out of the hotel and back out on the run, which was their primary goal.

tl;dr: Hoody and Masky are the good guys, they're just really bad at it.
