We had another visit to the BMC Labs yesterday (Nov 17). It started with me tweeting that APB_art and I were going to see Body Melt at the TIFF that night and hoped to see the labs again before they close. About 3 hours later BMC tweeted a vine that showed an envelope with my twitter name on it. Then about mid afternoon I saw that Max checked into the TIFF gift shop on Foursquare and left a cryptic photo.

So when we got there a couple hours after that, we went to the gift shop and tracked down what that photo was of. There's a display shelf holding books about Cronenberg and the photo was of one of them. I took a similar photo and posted it when I checked in at the TIFF.

We thought my envelope was up at the lab again so we headed up there. The doctor (they're doctors, not lab techs, my bad!) asked if I had a question for her. I was pretty sure that there wasn't a question like last time so I went back down to the lobby to ask around there. I went to the box office and asked if someone had left something for me, for @leighyoungart. One of the women behind the counter just reached back and gave me the envelope. I couldn't help myself, so I asked if anyone saw who left this for me. They described him and said he was going to a movie at 7:15. Well, that's the same time Body Melt was playing so I assumed it @Maxrennlives was going to the same movie as us and proceeded to have a very quiet and discrete freak out.

I found a quite corner and opened the envelope to find a printout of BMC's facebook post of my inked drawings of POD with a QR code on it. Since they sent me a message via Vine, I thought I'd do the same back. The red notebook is mine, I bought it this weekend just to keep track of everything. The QR code led me to a private youtube video (which was already shared here) of another printout of my art, with what looks like blood dripping on it.

I think Max Renn is sick, or getting sick, or something serious.

I went upstairs back to the lab to find APB_art chatting with the Dr.s and found out the security cameras weren't working! I was so set on recording them! One of the Dr.s (one who we met last week) said they stopped working after we left last sunday. I'm still not sure if they're legit, for real broken or "broken" broken, you know what I mean? So either we have a clue and don't know it, or they're really not working.



There's now giant tv screens in the lab that scroll people's tweets and show new stats about POD, like Toronto is more trusting, less disgusting.

We see what we can, do some "in game" chatting with the Dr.'s (there were 3 this time) and then head out for dinner.

About 30 mins before the movie we head back to the TIFF and check in to the movie there. Once we're sitting in the theatre we're checking our phones to see what's happening when I see Max check into the same movie. With a photo. Taken from the floor above the movie theatre floor. Of the floor the theatres are on. AND THAT'S US WAY IN THE BACK AT THE CONCESSION STAND. He bloody well saw us, knew who we were, and stalked us for a bit. I'm surprised the people in the theatre didn't faint from me sucking out all the oxygen with my ENORMOUS GASP. We eyeballed the door in and I think we saw him come in, can't be sure. As the lights were dimming we see him check is in to Luma, which is the restaurant/bar at the TIFF, he included the photo of a clue he left.

The movie was strange, gross weird and hilarious. It was also one of the longest movies I have ever seen in my life. (It was in reality only 85 minutes long!)

When it was over we left by walking across the entire front of the theatre so we could get a look at the people there and so Max could for sure see us. We get to the bar and sure enough, there's the clue! Holy crackers!




There's a photo booth in the TIFF lobby where you get your DNA scanned but there's a foreign DNA involved and you get a printout of your face and Cronenberg's face mixed together. This is how the photo was taken.

The back says:

"Prototype 416(square)
M(something we can't figure out)M CLR
If found please return to @MAXRENNLIVES"

And that was that.

Personally, what I took away from today was
Max is definitely secretly using BMCs social media feeds to send us clues
If you go to the lab, tweet BMC and tell them you're coming.

Just completed simulation 2... I am seriously impressed by just how much this plays with your emotions.

Did anyone else get the video at the end saying "you are in the top 10% and we think you are almost ready to be a premier host" or something to that effect?

EDIT: I just had a giggle fit, I just got this message on my twitter... now bare in mind I NEVER mentioned bieber AT ALL during the simulation.
