There's a reason why I don't share my social media info with game sites... I told it I didn't have a twitter account, and so it just made a generic tweet to its own account with a vague handle when it played the little love/hate joke. I also have a sense of humor about it, and when it asked me what disgusted me, I said "botulism". So now I love botulism! ha!

I agree that some of the video parts were designed to be uncomfortable / controversial. It kind of fits in line with Cronenberg's films, though.

At the end of Simulation 1, it says that my "recommended high trust occupation" is an agent of Interzone Corporation. It's a reference to another Cronenberg film, Naked Lunch (I haven't seen that movie, so I'm not sure what specifically that insinuates). It also recommends reading Carl Jung.

I'm curious if everyone else got the same thing, or if the web dev company has enough different results to keep it interesting.

My "Recommended Moderate Trust Occupation" was a journalist for particle magazine

My "Recommended Moderate Trust Reading" was Petty Troubles of Married Life by Honore De Balzac

My "Recommended moderate Trust Task" is to pry to a god I don't believe in, confess everything that makes you unworthy of its love and don't expect to be forgiven

I haven't seen any of Cronenberg's stuff so I don't know if this fits with his movies

Well, my rating is Moderate Disgust so my recommendations go by that.

Recommended Occupation: Game developer at PilgrImage (reference to the film eXistenZ)
Recommended Reading: Hollywood Babylon
Recommended Task: Camp out this weekend in a gas station restroom. You're not allowed to leave. You'll be surprised how quickly you can adjust to what once revolted you.

TibbyLTP:All Croneberg movies are kind of disturbing... kind of hopeless I would say... The Partigle Mag. is a wink to The Fly movie Smile

ytsemaddy: The Naked Lunch is based on a book of Burroughs (Of the Beat generation) pretty good book and pretty good (but though) movie... It's about a couple that gets high with detergent and start having paranoid hallucinations... (I don't want to make a spoiler for the movie so I can't tell you more about it...)

And as a result I got the same as Tibby, High trust occupation, then I played with another account and I got moderate trust... I wonder how many results are...

UPDATE: I played again and I got High Disgust (yay!!! I'm a hater!!!)
Recomended occupation: pursue a career in programming at CIVIC TV (a wing to Videodrome)
Recomended task: Make a list of every thought you wish you'd never had. Standing at a mirror, look yourself in the eye and read every one.
Recomended reading: The Emotional Incest Syndrome

Re: Clue in Registration?

Even though I was on the mailing list, I had to register. At the bottom of my registration was the following:

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM NOW, BE A SLY FOX AND MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE FRONT OF TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX (CLUE #8 )

I did a cursory google search and I haven't come up with a direct quote.

upon further investigation I came up with an address:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I did a Google search on TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX and came up with :
350 King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5, Canada

I also found a website with two integrated youtube videos. When I try to play them, they show up as private:

There are also two names mentioned that I'm trying to look into.

The videos are not private for me, perhaps it has to do with me being Canadian on an IP address listed to Canada? Anyway, as mentioned before, this game is in conjunction with an exhibit of David Cronenberg's work being displayed at the Bell Lightbox, a permanent location that is associated with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

TibbyLTP wrote:
If you search BMC on the tiff.net site the only hit is for this page: http://tiff.net/cronenberg

If someone is in the area you should check it out

I am not far from Downtown Toronto and hope to check the exhibit when it opens. If I can make it, and anything especially relevant to the game occurs/is present, I'll report back.

If there's something significant to do in Toronto, I could also make the trip if needed Smile

Hey Jibbles, I just tried the password, it seems it has been changed, did you happen to take any screens of what was on the page?

yeah i got the cases confused by accident, sorry

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it seems like these arent real maxrennlives emails because the format is slightly different to what we were sent, the first email is also definitely a reference to the movie 'crash' so the other ones are also probably related to croenenberg movies

MaxRennlives sent out a tweet last night with the number 800.

I received the number 800 when I responded to his darkest desires email. Anyone have a clue where to start with that?
