Yeah, I might've misspoke there, but I was trying to make a point.

No, that's not at all what I meant. There's a mature way to argue, then there's childish bickering. Slender and Marbies are being assholes, but Led, Mariah, etc don't have to engage them. They could be mature and ignore them, or ask them to leave, or simply report them to Zargg. Instead, they're stooping to their level, making this whole thread childish. (Of course, now Slender is being ignored so all is good).

Turn the other cheek is bullshit. Always has been, always will be. And anyone who supports that method is just enabling the assholes to continue being assholes, just without any actual resistance or people pointing out they're being terrible human beings. There is no benefit to this. It is not the mature thing to do.

They should combat it in mature ways, yes. But letting people walk right over you is never a good tactic. People who say that it is do not understand how the world works.

And to clarify, previous I have responded to those two in much more "mature" ways; however, I'm just in a bitchy mood and using gifs to keep me from going on a fuckin tirade, thus making me appear like more of an ass than I already do.

I'm not saying turn the other cheek. That implies they've wronged you. All they've done is said stupid, unimportant shit. Apathy can be cruel, especially to those who feed on attention.

If you can't see the difference between a DVD and a blu ray, you are lying and haven't ever watched a blu ray through a blu ray player on an HDTV

There are people on the hub, I don't know who they are, they haven't been a paynus yet, but I thought I'd post it here, in case people know them

Maybe he doesn't have very good eye sight? I know my dad can't tell the difference.

Although I support whatever THAC decides to do, I don't think releasing a DVD or BD is such a good idea. DVDs are pretty much obsolete. I haven't used a DVD in ages, the DVD player at my home is just collecting dust these days, because I've copied everything to a hard drive. And I probably won't ever bother getting a BD player, since I keep all the HD stuff on a hard drive as well, I really don't see a reason for another disk reading machine. There's enough dust collectors in the living room.

With the advent of fast internet, all the circle-shaped plastic shiny thingies just stopped being practical. They are slow, unreliable, consume space... Plus, and that's the most important thing here, authoring, manufacturing, releasing and shipping DVDs and to even more extent BDs is very pricy.

THAC would probably save a lot of money if they offered a digital download instead, like many other projects do.

Considering that the whole series is available for free on Youtube, I doubt something like this would work.

The difference between DVD and Blu-ray is obvious but unnecessary. Not going to own a Blu-ray player until they stop making DVDs.

And stupid people here would just stream the bonus footage/upload it to youtube, completely screwing them over. Sure they could do it with a DVD, but it's harder than just uploading something already released digitally

It's a collector's item in a sense more-so than a practical "I'm going to watch this" item. It's the same way with the anime industry. Streaming is much cheaper than DVDs, but there's always home-releases of series for collectors or fans of that series. When I get a DVD or something, I rip them to my computer and store them digitally to watch for convenience sake, but to me the DVD is a decoration.

It's the same reason I buy books rather than downloading ebooks. Same with buying the collectors versions of games, it's nice having all the steel cases for them.

I guess I'm not sentimental enough for this sort of thing Razz

I'm afraid the content's going to appear on youtube regardless of wether it's released on dvd or via download...

That's true. Regardless of how it's released it's going to wind up online for free anyways. I'm surprised there's not torrents up for DVDRips already.

Wow, I leave this thread for two days and the drama not only peaks but then... goes away? Amazing.
