dear adolgonosov and others:
please please believe me when I am saying these past few months have been horrific. i dared not to speak or communicate online with most because of the the very unwanted attention and intimidation which i have faced. i have been threatened enough that I feared for my life so that I had to leave my work and the UAE. i have reasons but no proof to think that at least some of these people belong to the SVR.
this whole campaign or viral marketing or whatever is a sick manipulation very cold and cynical in design. at sochi I fear there is a spectacle coming and also in the maidan of Kyiv!
russia and its mafia government is trying to consolidate power and to do so it needs perceived threats. with their economies faltering they believe their future power is at stake and so are being quite ruthless.

and furthermore this person 'marckesano' is not even a real person. it is a fictional character just like junko junsui and the fake company NSE. you have to understand that all the credibility of these people acting online and with other companies depends upon false personas, credentials, resumes, business licenses. they make whoever is threatening look peaceful and as innocuous and whoever is harmless (or non existing) be made to look like a threat!

These shahidka seem to match the profile of our Junsui strikingly well. Shamil Basayev, likely the "Emir" from Rhea's Confession, personally trained several dozen of them.

And you say this so sure because you have chatted online?
I have seen this persona with mine own eyes in the same room!
Let me do clarification. This person is using an alias or fake documents.
Do you know of another person calling themselves 'Roman Azef'? This is also an alias!
What about a name Yuri Tretiak? Also an alias!
What about companies like Alfa-Tsentr with an address and sign on their door who then have an empty office. Not one person!

In other news, there is some interesting activity on the @VeraNovosi Twitter account. It has been posting pairs of messages (usually seconds apart, leading one to believe they are from an automated service or script posting via the Twitter API). The first message always has the same format: <word>-<word>-<3digitnumber>. The second message always looks like a normal message. BOTH messages are always self-directed @VeraNovosi, and promptly deleted, leading one to wonder what their purpose is and who their audience is (perhaps another piece of software?). Here are the messages I've recorded over the past couple of months:

I've thought that this could be some kind of lock/key pair, but haven't been able to decipher anything. Another thing possibly worth mentioning is that the number in the "key" messages seems to be reliably increasing from each previous message. Any ideas?

I was able to get a login for TRU-COM via Alfa Arkiv.
I have only scratched the surface so far, but there are so many answers here, to questions we've been asking for years. I feel like I should not reveal too much, so far it has not been difficult, and I am sure others would like the chance to dive in themselves. Who doesn't love a good puzzle, after all. Especially with a fine habano, bourbon, and some sweet jazz.
But there is so much we were right about.
Some have been saying that people are not who they appear to be. This has proven to be alarmingly true, even about some of those among us (even now).

So, what do you guys think about the files hosted on the KGB.by site?
Perhaps some steganography is used in these images? There are duplicates of a couple images on the site. As well, some images point to "http://www.antibrainwash.net/" which has a login form, though registration is currently offline.

I ran all of the images through stegsecret, but it didn't find anything. There also don't appear to be any file size anomalies, so if there is hidden data in any of these, it is probably something small.

Hello everyone!
I had installed the Alfa Cipher plugin for Chrome (uninstalled it because I panicked).
Today I was tagging a friend in Facebook for a post, and when I hit Enter, the whole Facebook page got corrupted, first in pink and then in black, with strange messages appearing all over, and some videos running in the background. I removed the tagging comment and did it again, and the same happened.
I have to assume it was due to the plugin, because as soon as I uninstalled it, it didn't happen again. Sadly, in my panic, I could take only one picture, but it gives you an idea of what was going on. The black bars are just covering sensitive info.
The background video had audio, but I didn't let it finish. I'll try with another computer and see if something happens.

Any recent news? Only thing I've seen is that the design of the KGB site changed.
