 		I think I may have irritated the PM lol. said I wanted to ascend, asked for instructions, got some obtuse doubletalk about them not having answers cause their not the king, just an entertainer, gave as well or better than I got with my own banter, and then silence. To be fair after a bit i did also state that I was starting to think they can't handle somebody speaking as intensely disjointed and obtuse as they did.
goading them forward didn't work as well as I had hoped.

Ha ha well...guess they don't take kindly to being challenged. I think he's messing around with me at this point. He made me pick a security question, and I picked my cat's favorite color, green. He gave me options of shades of green to pick. Not getting anywhere, but fun nonetheless.

 		Hey, i'm going to look over all of the new and current clues/hints/things with some people. The old team was really great but it may help. information is coming too fast almost. I called the US # for ACSENDWORLDWIDE and it brought me to an answering machine in which i just told them i'd like to ASCEND. looking further the site does not seem to be connected but whatever asking seems to do something maybe.

EDIT: called the ascensionismrecords # but without the A because that made it actually disconnected... tried a few things.. it's odd but yeah. something there for sure. tried typing in ascend (said 'm sorry invalid command then we're sorry after about the number being disconnected) then said ascend and it said the same thing. it may have ties with the story? or is this old news (have not checked up on this yet)

I just finished digging trough the archives for this thread, and dear lord..

I think we need to either:

    1) Get in contact with the original people who were working on this.
    2) Get some people in here familiar with ciphers, audio hidden in images, etcetera.
    3) Figure out who's behind this, and what they do.


I find it odd that people who were pretty into this, up to the point of having been sent identification codes, speaking to a an actual person about RAQ (Rarely asked questions), just suddenly drop it.

Also, there is not a straw poll up on the website that allows you to vote for what button Stanley pressed. The vote seems to be going to execute, which is a shame. I wonder what would happen if we had him type Ascend.

EDIT: Tried calling +1 320 227 2363 but all I get is a "We're sorry. You have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service." I tried inputting brummell, which was what my compatibility code stood for (Base64), but am told that that is not a valid option. Seeing I'm not from the USA, I have no idea if this is normal or not. Anyone care to elaborate?

I was playing along with this when it first came out and had fun decoding the images and codes. I kinda lost interest when it switched to the story mode but I was A1-ICIW, the salesman. If I can do anything to help out now that it seems to be active again please let me know. I don't have much time for ARG's these days but will do what I can. Apparently, I'm also pretty good at finding people to pick up strange items in strange places.

I agree with this 100%. I'm such a noob and this is way out of my league, I'm really in no way equipped to deal with this kind of stuff. I'd like to still be involved, though, in some way. I've grown attached.

I'm from the US, and the same thing happened to me when I tried to call. I believe it's been taken down. That's a normal recording you get when you reach a disconnected or nonexistent number here.

I want to see this whole thing progress so badly! It's insanely interesting, just way too advanced for me.

EDIT: Got an email at 5:28 AM saying,

"Correct. Welcome, Stanley.

INMATE #161459.
CRIME: ______."

This was in response to saying malachite was my pet's favorite color. Er...yay?

Hmm, GU17, did you ever call the number? Was it always like this (cause I can imagine them just taping that recording and playing it on a legit number), or has it changed since you were active?

Yeah, same deal here. Although I'm a quick learner and rather perceptive, so who knows, I might be able to help. Not to mention I live in the Netherlands, where one of the kits was found and one of the listening stations is located.

You've been emailing the admin from Ascensionrecords right? That's... well, odd. If you check the twitter, he's been supplying messages that make up a story. Its all in the wrong order, but still... Stanley is the main character. He executes people. And at some point, he himself is the prisoner and its implied he needs to execute himself.... HR5171A linked to the pastebin with the whole thing in the right order.

EDIT: So why the hell are you suddenly called Stanley? Do you get to make decisions? You could try telling him you're going to type in Ascend into the keyboard in the story, seeing there is currently a strawpoll up with what button Stanley will push.

EDIT 2: Not sure if anyone has discussed this yet here, but take a look at this trailer for Kanye Quest 3030. At the end of it the symbol for "Ascension" is briefly shown, and what I assume is morse code can be heard. I honestly don't have the time to figure out what it says, I've got a deadline and am procrastinating enough as it is, but maybe one of you gents or gals wants to give it a try? Also pretty much solves the question about wether the two are related.

The Morse code in the video just says Ascend.

that # does NOT act like usual US disconnects. it would say "goodbye" and hang up. it's voice is choppy and there is command responses. it is defiantly not normal. it's usually a woman's voice too

Both seem to be about a program that aims to help prisoners. It might be, but it seems a lot of effort for something like this. Sites like http://www.ascensionismrecords.com/ had pretty scarce websites.

Okay, so I tried calling it again, and this time dialed 99990000, because I remembered someone in the past having luck with that. It gave me the following message:

I tried my username, which is one of the ID's that people were assigned, but got no where. I also tried 12117410, which appeared on an image linked by Amandel on page 15. Both gave me a not valid message, and then asked me to put in my alpha numeric ID again.
I'm fairly certain that the code has to be 8 numbers long, because when I tried my username, it waited a while, as if waiting for more numbers to be dialed, but when I tried the 8 number one, it immediately told me it wasn't valid.

 		I have read this entire thread as well as the kotaku story relating to the Kanye game. One thing of note is the game says you can ascend if you continue and not tell anyone "We must ask that you do not reveal this area to the public. "
Once this became very public and hit 4chan, kotaku etc.. i fear that true endgame is no longer possible. Sure you may be able to get the auto bot on twitter to respond but i don't think we will ever know truly where this may have gone had it been kept under-wraps, unfortunately. Crying or Very sad

 		I've read everything there is on this forum for this and the posts about the kanye game. I think this can keep going if we try. The ASCEND thing in the kanye game seems to easy to decode if they went through all the trouble of using cyphers and encoded images and SSTV. If they can do all that they had to know it would be easy to get past the game by importing it into RPG maker.

I think we need to try and authorize some of the passwords used for the terminals in the kanye game. Many of those were authorized and then decoded and made images.

There are also murmurs that it was the Ascend guy who leaked it, since they gave up on it being found.

Is no one else suspicious that the OP of the "my buddy frantically texted me in biology class" pastebin never came back to help out more, after doing so much research? After noticing the morse code all over Kanye Quest, I can only assume that most of the people who played it are the kind that don't even read the text in video games, so the secret stayed hidden. I was too busy playing Ingress, and just about every Decoder I knew in the world was working on that.

I haven't seen any evidence of Ascension Records telling people not to talk to each other, and the Facebook page is being updated regularly now.

The phone number is very much not disconnected. I tried to brute force 8 digit codes for a while, and I also concur it is 8 digits it's looking for. It's a speech to text phone tree.

How do you "authorize" a code?

Perhaps, but hopefully not, true.
The twitter account is still active, they still have an active phone line, AMNA-A listening station is still broadcasting. Hell, people are in contact with the admin email from the ascensionrecords website. Maybe I'm just an optimist.

Also, keep in mind that a lot was uncovered without the link to the Kanye game ever being made. I somehow doubt that the Kanye game was their ultimate plan. Unless there is still more to discover there.
