Website mentionned during 24... In episode 19 of this current third season, brainiac baddy Saunders demands that a list of american agents be posted to a website:
www.sylviaimports.com
Don't get your hopes up though, seems they haven't fully grasped the medium's potential
Still, it's a nice gesture... plus it's got good news!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

A Big Thank-you from the crew of 24. Thanks for watching, we love making it for you, and yes, we did get picked up for Season 4.
Let's just hope they use the domain name for something more soon...

I checked the site as soon as it was mentioned last night and there was nothing there at the time. I was really, really hoping to find something cool. I mean, c'mon they couldn't have given me one puzzle?

Me, too...when there was nothing on it.
A whois on the site turned up a registration in the name of 24's Director.
I had high hopes, especially since they gave out Chase's cellular phone number in an earlier episode. (When I called it, it was Chase's mbx, but the voicemail was full, and I never got through.)
Oh, well.

I don't watch 24, but it seems like it's not the kind of show where you want to announce that you've been picked up for another season before the current season is over. Isn't that sort of giving away the ending a little?

A Whois of sylviaimports.com gives an email address of Rodney Charters. Emailing him gives this (auto) response:

Thank-you to all of you who tracked me down. I secured the site name as we shot the scene and then could not come up with something smart enough to do with it. The writers and the set crew, were way too busy just shooting the show. I was going to put up a QTVR of the whole crew in CTU but didn't get it photographed in time. It used to point to my web site at http://www.rodneycharters.com as the purchase was piggy backed on my site, but I disabled that when I discovered the link. Anyhow proves the power of the net since a bunch of you sleuthed about and came up with my address and e-mailed me, 3 of you even called and asked for Mr Saunders? Thank-you, we love making the show for you.
Please buy the DVD and tell your friends. Yes we will all be back next year as of yesterday so congrats to Jack Bauer and the team at CTU.
Cheers

That's why you need to talk to people like us. We could've come up with something in a couple of hours

Man. Why bother to say it clearly and make it a plot point and then let it lie there dormant?
I hate throwing food away and this isn't much different. Sheesh.
