All I can say is kudos, they addressed several plot points here in a concise manner. Very direct and slightly unsatisfying (admittedly) due to the fact we waited a month for an argument. But it addressed that Jessica's fate is meant to be ambiguous to everyone both OOG and IG (except TO and maybe Alex), how long Tim had the tape, that "You are distorted was directed at Jay and that Jay is losing it rapidly.

It's also made Tim even more of a main player, now that he's the protagonist.

I was so disappointed, over a month's wait for an entry not even 5 minutes long!? What an outrage! Even if it's just to hold us over until #78, which will be the really big entry, what can I possible hope for from such a short entry!?

Then I actually watched the entry and was blown away. They're still perfectly capable of making short entries have a lot of wham to them. Tim kicking Jay's ass and making him scream his head off was very amusing and satisfying, if pretty sad. I'm now perfectly okay with having this for a little while to hold us over until the 79 South Creek Road entry. It's pretty clear they've already been working on #78 and quickly put this out in the meantime to make up for the wait a bit. #78 will probably be out pretty soon.

Tim got a whole lot less sympathetic this entry. It's actually pretty sad. I wanted to trust him. I mean sure, he did still hide that tape from Jay, even if I initially thought it wasn't for that long, plus giving Jay those pills while he was out of it was very sketchy. But he went from doing some questionable things in the hopes of helping Jay to being extremely deceitful and actually kinda ruthless, with the misguided belief that he can never do any wrong, even when all the main players in MH have been putting themselves in grey areas constantly. Hell, Tim might even be a darker shade of grey than Jay now, which is odd to me.

Let's really consider how much of a liar the reveal that Tim had the tape since the end of #62 makes him. He pretty calmly talked about Jessica to Jay in #63 and #69, despite having seen what happened to her himself. Granted, this entry's shown us he isn't quite decided on her fate himself but still. He also claimed that there were no more secrets in #66 which is... pretty shocking. Especially the way he then sighs in relief. What an absolute liar. No wonder Hoody's so pissed off at him. Then we have him acting all buddy-buddy to Jay in #69 and #72, acting like he hasn't been manipulating Jay for months.

But the tape isn't even the only thing that makes Tim look bad here. As others have pointed out, he just left Jay on his own in the house while heading off towards the college. Given how self-righteous Tim's been revealed to be, he probably figures both Hoody and Alex are at the address, with one of them held hostage by the other and have been stubborn enough to wait there all this time. As such, there's no chance of them going to get Jay, especially since Tim could well have arrived at the college by the time this entry uploaded. He doesn't even consider that TO might wander on in to the house to play around with Jay. To Tim, he's doing the right thing, Jay is unstable and needed to be dealt with promptly. There's an all to high a chance that this is going to come back to bite him in the ass. Place your bets, who's going to pay zip-tied Jay a visit first?

Finally, I'm very excited as to all the places the story could go from here. Will Hoody come to the house to get Jay? Will we get a Jay/Hoody teamup? One user suggested Tim might run into Amy at the college and find out she knows where Jessica is. That'd be so awesome, I can only hope. Also Tim's the main protagonist now, which I've been wanting since it looked like it'd turn out that way in #72. Wonder how long it'll last? A couple of entries at least, I hope.

Oh yeah and Evan, that mental image of Jay hopping into the college demanding for Tim to hand over the camera made me laugh, thanks! Although at the same time, I could imagine a shouting and unstable Jay becoming another recurring antagonist for Tim from here on out. How tragic that'd be to see our "hero" like that.

Does this settle the dispute that Tim picked up a tape at the end of that one entry (62 I think??) where people thought it was a phone/gun/etc

That was #67. And yes, that definitely wasn't the #76 tape, as we now know Tim was first given that in #62.

Well that was fun. Even though mp3 Skype recorder didn't work for the main MO episode recording, my co-hosts and I were able to watch the episode live on Skype and record our immediate thoughts.

Brilliant entry. One thing that bothers me about this entry though: Why did Tim tie Jay's feet before his hands? Surely the other way around would make more sense.

About Tim and the tape: He got it in Entry #62, and he claims he woke up with it. Presumably this was Hoody's reason for swiping Tim's pills in Entry #61- to get Jay and Tim in the same place, incapacitated so that s/he could leave the tape with one of them. It's possible Jay had the tape and Tim took it from him before Jay woke up. Looking back at Entry #62 I'm not convinced Tim is asleep when he's face down on the ground. In order to have watched that tape Tim would need to have access to a camera. If he didn't know what was on the tape then there's no reason he wouldn't watch it with Jay. So perhaps he was awake before Jay, took the camera and tape, watched the tape, then pocketed it and placed the camera in front of Jay as if Hoody had done that. Otherwise Tim would have had to have kept the tape from Jay and used the camera he still has from 2006 to watch the footage.

Scary thought- Tim has already mastered the JayText, so he can pretend to be Jay whenever he wants. This could get complicated.

It looks like I need to update the timeline again tonight. Tim has control of the camera and the Marble Hornets account. totheark is still posting and we still don't know what's happening with Alex. Fun times!
