I think we (as a fan-base) tend to take stuff like IG and OOG time more seriously than the creators intended. But I enjoy the discussions here so I'm not complaining.

Tim's outro text in this entry: "The way Jay has been acting over the last few months is causing him to be a danger to both me and himself." Jay only started acting aggressive in Entry #75, which was in August. Therefore, IG time is still OOG time.

It doesn't really matter. Marble Hornet's has very loose immersion. It has the link to the DVD's on the YouTube channel. It's ultimately just entertainment with a thin layer of realism attached on top.

People point out that the OOG times seem unrealistic, like why did Tim wait a month to go to the college? But it makes sense to me, he probably didn't want to go himself at fear of getting murdered, and he probably wanted Jay to go with him. Then Jay shows up crazy and Tim decides he's gonna have to go himself.

Look they're in a very delicate situation. I imagine Jay doesn't want to spend every hour of everyday doing weird detective work or looking through disturbing footage from his past, he probably stalls around a lot IG, that doesn't usually strain credulity for me.

But there's other part where you do need to suspend disbelief in Marble Hornets, like why haven't the police gotten involved, why would YouTube let Jay have a video up of someone getting murdered that they didn't know was fake, ect. ect.

We're an ARG website but we learned early on this isn't really an ARG. So I wouldn't think about the meta realism aspect of this too much. As for the Facebook post, I don't think Troy's bothered by the wait times cause of suspension of disbelief, at least not entirely. The fans get impatient and it messes with the suspense. There are other reasons he could have said that besides that IG time =/= OOG time.

Again, IG time -should- be OOG time, if you look at the occasional actual references to timeframes from the videos and Twitter, and the concept that the YT and Twitter exist IG. That said, stop worrying about the timeline. It's going to be a little screwed up for OOG reasons no matter what at this point and has been since S2 when Jay spent months doing nothing at a hotel. The series is best enjoyed if you just view it as a fictional series with a (poor) release schedule and don't think too much about the IG timeline unless the plot actually calls for it.

If you really must explain away all the IG delays, look to earlier Twitter episodes from S1 and incidents like 72. TO screws with people's timelines and makes them sick. Both of these things could cause plenty of days or weeks to be lost, either just by the characters involuntarily leaping forward in time or by them being too sick to really take action. And there are other ways to explain away some of the long wait times as well, but, again, not worth worrying about so much.

I'd also like to point out acquisition of information takes time, it might be that Tim's been investigating it for a while and now feels he knows enough to go out there (or as said by DHawk, he wanted Jay to come too)

Basically he has info (it's Amy's old school) and it would have taken at least some time to get this info

Technically, what he said was that it was "a nearby college; probably the one Alex went to to be with Amy". But it's reasonable to assume Amy went there too, I think.

Hmmm...I wonder if Tim will actually meet Amy next entry, who will seemingly be oblivious to everything....

It'd be intresting if she'd been Slendywiped to have no memory of entry #26 and Alex broke up with her to protect her.

Or, perhaps, she's in on everything with Alex and when the chips are down, she puts her own surrival and Alex's above everyone else's and will only seemingly be oblivious?
