What town makes Louis Guntrum wine?
I couldn't find a town that makes the wine, but I found the town that the vineyard is in.... Nierstein/Rhein

It's between the two small villages of Nierstein and Oppenheim. Rheinallee 62, D-55283 Nierstein
Phone 06133-9717-0 Fax 06133-9717-17

Sorry, I just meant that a town doesn't make the wine, the company does.

I found some more info about the 123rd MSB. They are the support battalion for the 1st armored division..."Old Ironsides". It seems wherever the 1st goes so goes the 123rd. According to an article dated July 24 2003 the 1st was scheduled to rotate out of Iraq by April 2004.
And according to this site

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_orbat.htm

The 1st has already started leaving Iraq.

"A V Corps release on March 17, 2004 indicates that the first elements of the 1st Armored Division have begun to return to Wiesbaden. The "torch party" returned on March 12. Numbers were not given, but it is assumed that the detachment was very small"

I still can't find anything specific to the 123rd though.

reply from librarian

Pam--

Hello again. I actually live in Shelton and will drop by the branch
there and look in their city directories for 1977-
to see what Wilburs were listed. In the meantime, here are the Wilbur
listings for the current Shelton telephone directory in case you do not
have them. You might consider contacting some of them and asking about
your relative:

Andrea Wilbur
61 W Hillsborough Ct
Shelton WA 98584
360-427-9462

Nick and Rachel Wilbur
2303 Jefferson Street
Shelton, WA 98584
360-427-6497

I was wondering too, what the source of your information is that your
relative was born in Shelton? Is it a reliable source?

Sincerely

Michael Potts

Guess eventually we'll get something definite!

Clicking on Malynn Wilbur says Profile for Mmm Mmm

Clicking on Marty Wilson says Profile for Malynn Wilbur

Ergo......M.W. = M.W.?

Interesting to say the least. I also found an address for a Malynn A. Wilbur who has unclaimed property in the state of Washington. Apparently this Malynn worked for Wendy's and has a paycheck there. The listed address is 1203 5th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501. So I don't know if this is the Malynn we are looking for.

I'm pretty sure thats the same address I got when I went to one of the pay searches for people. I can't absolutely verify this until I get to work tmr. But I do know it definitely was Olympia. I'll check tmr and post the address.

Ok, big rookie Doh here regarding the classmates site and Malynn Wilbur. I went looking for her on the site and thought I was inputting search information, which turned out to be registration information. I tried to delete the listing, but couldn't figure out how to do that, so tried changing the name to "Mmm Mmm". I thought that would solve the problem, which, ahem, it apparently didn't.

Sorry for the false lead, and for the delay in responding (I've been gone for a day).

winery

Ok folks, here's the final answer for the winery....lol I got an email from em.

Dear Pam,

Yes, "Nierstein" is the village, where the wine is manufactured and
that also
means that our estate is located in Nierstein, next to the river Rhein.
So
"Rhein" is the river.

If you have a wine named for example

NIERSTEINER REHBACH RIESLING SPÄTLESE

Nierstein = the village
Rehbach = vineyard name
Riesling = grape variety
Spätlese = Quality

That's all folks!!!

Yup.....and according to Alan's post the listing for Malynn Wilbur is him attempting to view info, but actually registering as an alum of CHOICE.

So, that still leaves the fact that when you click on Marty Wilson it says "Profile for Malynn Wilbur".....but I suppose it could also be someone else making a similar booboo.

Regarding the chemical composition of Mount St. Helens ash:

There's a couple long articles, though this will probably do:

Fumaroles associated with the 1980 eruptive activity of Mount St. Helens occur (1) within the crater, where heat and fluids may be derived directly from magma and from crustal rocks in contact with the rising magma, and (2) as rootless fumaroles in the flowage deposits, where heat and fluids are derived locally from within the deposits. Much of the encrustation material was deposited at temperatures less than 250°C as noncrystalline yellowish films on ash particles and rock fragments and as encrustations around fumarole vents. Encrustations are mostly red, orange, yellow, and white. They begin to crystallize during cooling and dehydration immediately after deposition. Common mineral phases are sulfur, gypsum, halotrichite, and hematite. Less common phases are sal ammoniac, thenardite, glauberite, anhydrite, melanterite, alunite, and halite. Numerous unstable and poorly crystalline phases in process of dehydration and crystallization are under study. The major chemical components making up the fumarole deposits are Cl, F, H2O, SO4, Fe, Al, Ca, Na, K, and S.

I still need to know the answers for numbers 2,5, 10 and 14.Some people have apparently already sent their answers so I presume some already have those answers. If they are willing to share the answers that would be a big help.
