Well...the acting is not that great and by the three videos I saw it is rather generic...But I have subscribed in case anything groundbreaking is put up.

Yeah, I agree. There's a distinct lack of fractal discussion on that channel, which makes me feel like they're wasting their name, regardless of what mortal danger they're in.

I might have missed it, but did they mention why they started filming in the first place? It's one of my pet peeves /: also they acting is a little too forced. Maybe they're going off an actual script?
I think it has potential, so I'll keep watching. I mean, not every series started off with a bang, I almost didn't continue watching EMH if it weren't for all the good reviews. But I hope this becomes a good series.

Alright post number 4 and review number 4. Guess after this I'll stop labeling the obvious action that I will be doing.

Time to review XMandelbrot. I mostly did not like this series. The Slender Man shown in entry Pilot looks like a ninja and the Slender Man in entry Hoosac Tunnel looks like his head is all bloated. Besides those negatives the acting is a joke and I do mean that. It must be because several times in this series the main player looks like he is about to break out laughing when something scary happens. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Entry (attempted) Breather Episode is pretty well done and so is the Slender Man that is shown throughout it. If they keep moving in the path of this latest entry then it may become a pretty interesting show.

First, I'd like to point out my super-noob status, mostly to let myself throw caution to the wind and just reply candidly about the little part of this series I've watched so far.

I agree with the other people who have (so far) pointed out the acting... it makes me not so interested in the characters. (and the dialect seriously can't be shoved off on a mass accent, sorry guys.) The other thing I find troublesome is having a 10 min video as your second vid, it just seems to expect a lot out of a new viewer... or maybe just me. I just don't feel persuaded or interested in the characters so far, and I'm feeling a little hand-fed.

Just taking this as an opportunity to air out personal biases. The strength I see in this series is that the visual distortion is more original, and less "obviously blah-blah-blah filter" to me.

To summarize, I'd rather have shorter updates, less telling and more showing, and... the shirtless confessional in the bed is just reading as exploiting sex appeal to me.

Another long entry. The acting is kinda derpy, but fairly believable. Whats not believable is those gun shots or rather the situation surrounding the gun shots. Damn if they don't have a good Slender Man. Why do I keep coming back to this series? I see potential. If they would just shorten the episodes a bit.

This entry takes a lot of risks. There are shout-outs to other series, Theorizing about what the Slender Man is and how it functions, also a rap song synonymous with SM parody is used. How can all this work together for a decent non-parody entry? Find out when you watch this from beginning to end. I was honestly caught off guard by how freaky this got.
