In the original joke Billy follows the voice of the purple wombat, ends up in the middle of a lake and drowns and the moral (and the punch line) of the story is "Don't stand up in a boat".
I think S.H. is warning us that the same thing can happen to Thomas. If he doesn't care about anything else than finding what the wombat is or what does it want, he doesn't realize to be aware of any other danger like "don't stand up in a boat". He could end up getting hurt or worse.

Oh, exciting!

Also, very interesting words of choice. He's talking about Thomas being a key player, why is that? And why is the wombat so interested in him? He's talking about how the wombat might leave our world once more if Thomas dies, how so? And where would it go? When has this happened before? He's talking about sources, meaning he appears to have connections we don't yet know of, also talking about operatives meaning he has people/things in this world working for him.

It definitely sounds like a line up for awesome development! Plenty of questions and thrilling messages to come along. I like the youtube involvement. Already subscribed so to not miss any messages from there.
