You know what? The next time we see Hoody, somebody better tackle that sonofabitch and rip that godamn mask off! This late in the game and he's still playing coy? Bullshit.

I know why Jay and Tim do so, but why does Hoody like to film?

Well that was pretty much as expected. Interesting thing I picked up on and it doesn't look like it's been mentioned is that the operator symbol was after the "Last Chance" on the mirror. Which makes me wonder why he did that.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As for the ig time and oog time. I think this would of been at most one day after Tim uploaded Entry 77.

It seems he always does that; if there's a letter O or a zero to be crossed out he goes for it.

I think he left TO's simbol just because of the same reason he left it in Tim's medical records, or in the videos. It may be some sort of compusion TO causes (that or it has a real meaning we don't know yet).

Apologies about the massive wall of text here.

I don't know how many entries they intend this endgame to take, but we are most likely very close to the end, considering how "BEGIN FINAL ACT" this video was. Maybe the ending is in the next few entries and maybe it's not, but either way the pacing is probably about to jump up, based on how this one seemed to feel, and even if there are several entries left they will probably be containing a lot of action/answers.
Definitely agree. However, we need to remember that "Final Act" doesn't equate to a chapter or two of a book. Especially with a multi-season arc like what Marble Hornets is doing, the final act can be very long, drawn out, and intricate. I agree that we're likely to see the pace increase, but I'm uncertain just how much of an increase we should see. My bet (especially as these guys are film majors. The Three Act Structure will have been very ingrained into them if they're in any normal film school, and this isn't a normal 90 minute thriller where things need to be crammed in, making the normal pace build slope become steeper) is that we see a gradual building of pace, right before the break into the final arc. If this is the start of the Final Act, it's towards the base of the mountain, rather than the peak. Granted, I wouldn't be surprised if meeting at the address is the climax of the story, but it also wouldn't surprise me if it's the thing that is the equivalent of the Maintenance Tunnel with Tim's medical records. That led up to the big reveal of Tim being the [potential] First Contact, a pretty huge deal for this story...but it didn't substantially increase the pace. I don't think this will be exactly like that, but I don't think this breakneck pace people seem to be expecting will be quite that fast. ~shrug~ Smile

So they'd probably think it would be better to release all three on, say, two week intervals or something than to have, say, a month gap between 78 and 79.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Aren't they going to be at a convention this weekend, and aren't they still in college? Final projects are being assigned this coming week here at my Uni, and while my degree is not film (Simulation Programming), Film, like my degree, is very project based, rather than exam based. I suspect they will be very very busy, and somehow doubt the next Entry is soon, unless they've managed to make Marble Hornets into their school projects. Which is something I would personally have done my damndest to do.

On an irrelevant side note, I believe this is Jay's first proper face-to-face encounter with Hoody that wasn't a chase.
I do believe you are right on this point. Helps explain the sheer terror Jay had towards him even BEFORE the knife came into the picture.

Yeah, I do believe they are in college. Midterms for most of us were the past couple of weeks, and final projects are being assigned in the next week or two. BUSY busy guys they'd be if Marble Hornets didn't factor into their school projects in some way.

EDIT: for typos.

I did wonder, don't know if it's just an arbitrary, creepy symbol, or if there is a deeper meaning (people speculating it summons/wards TO)

The Symbol is an interesting part of the Slender Man Mythos. Created because of Marble Hornets, it's used by the entire fandom/expanded universe without even the creators of the symbol itself ever having revealed what it means.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The most interesting aspect of it to me is that the circle-x symbol is a popular film crew symbol marking potential shooting locations. (It is also used in construction to mark locations where future hazardous stuff will be placed [such as propane lines and natural gas lines and the like] before it is fully set in). I think this is one of the most brilliant things the Marble Hornets crew has done, alongside their early use of distortion ("Cover up the special effects issues [they] have with the Operator, and simultaneously build something into the myth of the creature that just so happens to also increase the scare factor"). The symbol subtly ties into the opening premise of the series ("Shit gets real on/around a specific movie filming locations") and then goes on to impress that even further into the story by making it an actual element of the myth. It very easily could have originally been intended to just show "this is a filming location, and the Operator does weird things to people who film stuff in his domain", but tying it into the mythos itself? Just ties things together nicely.

EDIT: I'm using spoiler tags to keep even potentially OOG stuff hidden. As a newbie here, please lemme know if I'm doing it too much or worrying about it too much or something. Smile

EDIT 2: For typos.

Holy Shit.

Okay, really glad that Jay's okay. I'm in denial that this could be our last few Entries, but it most likely is.
I have a sleepover to prepare for, so I'll be on as much as I can. Try to start convos. with me to keep me checking the computer.

Woot! New Entry!
And I'm not 15 pages behind! Very Happy

With Jay in hot pursuit, will Tim make it in time for the final confrontation? Will Hoody's identity ever be revealed? What state will Alex be in when the conflict begins? And will The Operator ever be stopped?

Find out in the next episode of Marble Hornets!

Unless this was Jay's camera, that Hoody somehow got back from Tim...

Nah, we've known Hoody has had a camera since Entry #61. It's possible it's the same camera from Exit.

ETA: Did anyone else notice the missing time? The camera blacks out and when it comes back Jay is unbound, Hoody is gone, and had enough time to leave a message for Jay and escape, all without Jay noticing. Something important must have happened in the gap.

Me: holy crap that was awesome, why would Hoody free him? Jay willingly trying to take pills? Last chance?! LOL I just imagine Jay going "hmm, got my maglight, a camera, a complete lack of medication... LETS DO THIS LEEEEEEEEROOOOOY JEEEEENKINNNNNS" Well let's see if unfiction came up with any theory's, I feel like I missed something.

Unfiction: OMG AWESOME ENTRY!!1!!!

I made it first page!

FILLER!

NOT FILLER!

*2 pages of filler argument*

entries too far apart!

*2 more pages of irrelevance

Me: ... why do I even bother.

Since when does Jay go hunting for pills? Bit hypocritical of him after busting Tim's chops for giving him the things in the first place.
