Okay, this is really bothering me. Since we see Tim come to his car to retrieve the chest-cam before he starts poking around, I want to know: where was he and what was he doing prior to that?

Also, we don't have any real way of knowing if Hoody took back Jay's camera and left it for him in #78.

As for Tim knowing the area better, I just had a thought: maybe it's just because he's had more time to investigate. Jay showed up a day after Tim did; maybe he ignored the building Jay was in because he checked it out the day before and found nothing.

And now for my daily dose of paranoia: since Tim found that room (the one with the pictures, bloody hand prints, and penknife)first, how do we know he wasn't the one who left some of those things for Jay to find? I mean, if nothing else, why would he see a knife of any kind laying out in plain sight, and just leave it there? I wouldn't, if only to make sure nobody could use it against me if they happened to go into that room after me. Maybe all his talk about being worried about Jay's mental health is a front; he really wants Jay to be the one doing the dirtiest work, and his post-#77 text statements were an alibi to keep people (us) from accusing him of using Jay/setting him up to take the fall Shocked .

I agree with a lot of this post. I had assume that Tim had started his investigation the day before Jay got there, and I was wondering what Tim was doing before he got the camera. However, I don't think he found that room first. I think he was looking for it. Sometime during his investigations, someone, probably Hoody, let him know there were clues in that building and that Benedict Hall was important somehow.

Edit: Maybe a random stranger told Tim that they saw some suspicious people near those buildings. In fact, I bet that's what happened; Tim was investigating and decided to ask around for suspicious activity.

I gotta agree with Pravado on this one, as I also watched the video in 720p full screen-- if the Operator was present, he did not make his presence known either through manifestation or video distortion-- there was no appearance from the Tall Man at all in this video... which is odd. Though the gurney with the body obviously underneath it was weird but Jay declined to even acknowledge it. The covered gurney with a scalpel next to a dozen pictures of Alex...

I thought he was there when I first watched the video too but after playing it back a few times it's clearly just a shadow. These guys are the masters of paranoia.

I think I mentioned "what was Tim doing before?" in my first post on this thread, but noone replied, I think it's kinda suspicious he didn't have the camera, as if doctoring the footage, I was just about to say 'maybe it was to show us Tim isn't as compulsive as Jay, but I don't think it made sense to film the hunt for the door in that case. While unfortunately I feel it may have just been there to prove Tim was around, as a narrative device, I do like your idea very much, it would be very interesting and is somewhat reminiscent of the Hoody/Masky relationship (possibly)

Can someone tweet Jay and ask him if the camera he received from Hoody in 78 was his own being returned or a different one? I'd do it but I don't have Twitter... It seems like something he would possibly answer.

Tim and Hoody could have met up somewhere, Hoody could have stolen it from Tim's car.

There's a variety of ways

I asked myself that question out loud. There is no way he couldn't have heard that much noise.

True, but there is audio distortion (low pitched humming) when Hoody defend-attacks Jay. It probably comes with the cough. Unless I missed something, that's about the only distortion throughout the entry.

Probably turned off his flashlight and vanished into the darkness. Or perhaps went down into where those watery sounds were coming from, it seemed like that might be more accessible than it appeared with how much Jay focused on it. More likely he just slipped away though.

Right. I could see it being that Tim just turned off his flashlight and hid. It'd be easy because Jay turned off his as well so there's no light and after knocking over that chair Jay was more concerned with getting out of there before Tim saw him

No, Tim definitely shone his flashlight at the chair at 10:30, so he didn't go out of his way to hide from anyone.

Hi, first post, not been watching for long, only since #72 came out

Anyway, I liked this entry, but I kinda hoped that Jay would have said something to Tim rather than just keep behind him, but I guess we will wait till next entry.

I think Hoody is trying to get everyone together - I don't think he's on anyone's side really - just gathering them together to solve his own problem with TO.

To me it looked more like Jay shined his flashlight on the chair.
